Double glazing Stirling

Double glazing installation is one of the best home improvements it is possible to make.

Our uPVC windows come in a vast array of different styles with something to suit all Stirling property types, with quality workmanship and exceptional service guaranteed with each and every installation.

Frames

Frame heat loss is a major problem in Scotland, with poorly fitted and older frames leaking warm air at a prolific rate.

Our Camden frames are designed to help you save money and reduce your carbon footprint with multiple built-in internal chambers that prevent heat from escaping and cold air from getting inside your home.

Energy efficient window frames act as an effective barrier between you and the outside world, keeping your home warm for less this winter.

Glazing

We use energy reflecting glass in all our double glazed windows and double glazed doors, separated by a layer of argon gas that prevents heat transfer.

To keep your windows free from condensation, thermo spacer bars are fitted between the glass to eliminate cold spots forming around the frame.

Sustainability

Since forming in 1988, Advanced have been committed to driving the double glazing industry forward, and we aren’t stopping anytime soon.

Our manufacturing process has been carefully honed to meet all the sustainability demands of the future and we are committed to being as eco friendly as possible, without compromising the high standard of our windows and doors.

The numbers speak for themselves, with 80% of our frames constructed entirely from recycled materials.

Furthermore, as much of the waste generated in our manufacturing processes as possible is sent to a recycling centre rather than landfill.

By taking this simple step, we have helped to prevent around 150 tonnes of waste from going to landfill sites.

‘A’ rated energy efficiency

Not only are we committed to reducing our own carbon emissions, but also our customers, with windows and doors that are designed to maximise energy efficiency.

With industry-leading U-values of 1.4 W/m2K as standard and the option to drop this to 1.2 W/m2K, all of our double glazed windows are certified “A” for energy efficiency.

A Soft Coat Xtra coating and Argon Gas filling make triple glazing more effective, contributing to its remarkable 0.8 W/m2k efficiency.

With energy prices rising, you simply cannot afford to have heat leaking through your windows and doors, and with double glazing from advanced, expertly installed by our talented team, you will save money on central heating, all whilst helping to do your bit in the first against climate change.

Research shows that uPVC doors and windows fitted with our double or triple glazing could reduce frame emissions in the average domestic home by as much as 70%.

For optimum weather condition resistance, ensuring our window frames stay sealed and watertight at all times, there are inbuilt channels within the profile system of each glazing system.

Finished with virgin skin surface areas for an improved visual appeal, our double and triple glazed window frames are completely bonded for optimum mechanical performance.

Security

Windows and doors are incredibly important to a property’s security and our double glazed windows are fitted with a number of highly effective intruder proof features.

Our windows are fitted with:
  • Multi-point locking systems
  • Internal glazing bead that cannot be removed from outside the property
  • Reinforced hinges and doors
  • Fully welded frames

Installing triple glazing will help you make your home even more secure, for the simple reason that there is an additional layer of glazed glass between you and any potential intruders.

To ensure that our products do not deteriorate over time we test them with salt-spray for 3 times longer than the industry average (600 hours).

If you have additional security needs, consider opting for a composite door rather than uPVC, or pick from our range of toughened and laminated glass options.

Window Types

We supply windows and doors of all shapes and sizes, from the most modern composite doors to wood effect uPVC double glazed windows that suit more traditional property designs.

Our most popular window types include:

Casement Windows

Casement windows are our best selling window design and with good reason.

Attached to the frame from hinges either at the side or the top, casement windows are the most energy efficient window design on the market, and offer excellent security and style.

Tilt and Turn windows

Tilt and turn windows get their name from the innovative hinge system that allows them to be opened either from the side, turned inwards, or from the top, tilted inwards.

This is a popular variation on the timeless casement window that offers an additional level of flexibility and ventilation options.

French windows

Similarly to French doors, French windows have two windows fitted within a single frame that can be opened either on their own or both at the same time.

Stylish and versatile, French windows are a fabulous addition to any property.

Frequently
Asked Questions

1. What sets apart "sash" windows from "casement" windows?

Sash windows are characterized by their traditional design, featuring a vertical sliding motion. On the other hand, casement windows offer greater flexibility with openers that can be pushed out or tilted in.

2. Do timber effect sash windows closely resemble real timber?

Our uPVC timber effect windows boast high-quality custom-made decorative finishes, providing a remarkably realistic appearance. We meticulously match these windows to existing frames, ensuring they are virtually indistinguishable from real timber, even at a distance.

3. What is the typical installation time for windows and doors?

The installation duration varies depending on site conditions and complexity. Generally, a two-person installation team can complete three to six windows per day.

4. Who installs your windows?

We exclusively deploy our fully trained and accredited in-house installers for all our projects.

5. Will removing window and door frames impact wiring or electrics in my home?

Typically, this is not an issue. However, if wiring is encountered during installation, work may be paused until a qualified electrician ensures a safe working environment.

6. Can burglars easily gain entry by removing the glass from your windows?

No, our Premier range features internally glazed windows, preventing the removal of glass from the outside unless it is broken. Glass removal can only occur from the inside.

7. Do your windows offer child safety features?

Certainly, we offer various safety and security solutions tailored to your needs. Our team will recommend the most suitable options at competitive prices.

8. Is cleaning obscure or decorative glass challenging?

No, as the pattern is on the inside of the pane, the outer surface of obscure or decorative glass is smooth, facilitating easy cleaning.

9. Do you have sash windows that tilt inwards for cleaning?

Yes, we offer such windows; however, sash horns cannot be included as they interfere with the tilting frame.
