New Windows Barnton
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

A change in temperature inside the home. Climbing energy bills. Condensation sitting on or inside the windows each morning. Sound familiar?
If that rings familiar, your windows are trying to tell you something.
The seal on older windows breaks down over time.
Between the panes, the gas leaks. The rubber gaskets harden and pull away. What once blocked the chill now barely does a thing.
Barnton’s rain and wind can seem more regular than the sun. Worn windows make a noticeable difference to how warm and comfortable your home feels.
But not to worry, The Advanced Group is here to support you with over 38 years of trusted experience. Whether you want new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we can guide you to the right solution and get everything installed correctly.

Some faults are obvious. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t close as they should.
But other issues are less obvious, and by the time you spot them, they’ve already been losing you money for months, sometimes even years.

Moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass? The sealed unit has failed.
Once the seal goes, the argon gas that delivers insulation seeps away, and the window loses a large amount of its thermal performance.
Why throw money away on increasing heating costs? Recover your home’s thermal performance with well sealed new windows today.

A windy day tells you all you need to know. Hold your hand near the edges of the window. Cold air getting through means the seals have gone.
Draught proofing strips may help for a while, but they’re just a sticking plaster on a fault that’ll only worsen as the rubber continues to perishing.

Seizing windows that won’t fasten correctly aren’t just inconvenient, they’re a security risk and an insulation issue too. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms all signal a window that’s come to the end of its useful life.
Multi-point locking systems on modern windows are much more safe than the single-point catches on older windows, and options like toughened glass add further protection.

Your windows are responsible for a significant share of the heat loss in your home. They’re the bridge between you and the elements.
Double glazing from the past is exactly that, in the past. The energy ratings sit well below modern options, even if the original spec was reasonable back then.
Protect your home from rising energy costs. New double glazed windows and doors create the difference.

Every Barnton home is different, and the right window choice depends on the house, the room, and how you use it.
The Advanced Group provides and installs a full choice of windows and doors in both double glazed and triple glazed setups, including uPVC triple and double and triple glazed casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs.
Casement windows are probably the most widely chosen window style in the UK. They’re side-hinged and open outwards, making them great for ventilation and straightforward to clean from inside.
Modern house or traditional property, casement windows suit the lot. A wide choice of colours and finishes is provided, and the woodgrain effects replicate the look of timber without any of the maintenance or warping fear.

The classic look of wooden sash frames, mirrored in every detail. That’s what our sliding sash windows provide, along with modern thermal efficiency and protection.
Proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism all follow the traditional design. Perfect for conservation areas or maintaining your property’s personality.
Tilt them inward at the top for safe ventilation. Turn them fully inward on a side hinge for easy cleaning. Two options, one window.
Upper-floor flat? Cleaning outside glass from a ladder isn’t an option. Tilt and turn windows fix that problem easily.
Airflow without the security risk of a fully open window. That’s what the tilt mode provides, and it’s especially handy for families with young children.
Top hung windows hinge at the top and open outward from the bottom. This makes them a practical choice for ventilation while helping to hold rain out.
Bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, bay window configurations, anywhere privacy and airflow both are needed. That’s where top hung windows come into their own.

French windows are full-length windows that open outward like French doors.
They’re perfect in pairs and can be combined with sidelights to open up a wide opening with glass and natural light.

The Advanced Group specialises in uPVC frame materials for good reasons.
Scotland’s weather won’t take it easy on your windows, and uPVC is designed to withstand it. It’s hardwearing, resilient to rough, windy, wet weather, and unlike timber, it won’t deteriorate the same way.
uPVC is low maintenance too.
Simply wipe it down with soapy water and it can look brand new.
More importantly though, our uPVC windows are seriously energy effective. With multi-chambered uPVC construction, some of our frames can achieve a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, helping to restore your home’s energy efficiency.
Best of all? uPVC double glazing is the most cost-effective option.
So you can often choose higher-spec glazing and still keep within budget. We provide glazed uPVC doors too, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to coordinate.

Scotland gives cold, wet, and windy weather for a large chunk of the year.
In that environment, the energy performance of your windows makes a noticeable difference to how much you spend on heating and how comfortable your house feels every day.
The thermal performance of a window is measured by its U-value.
Lower number, less heat lost. Scottish building regulations currently set a maximum of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows deliver 1.2 W/m2K, and our premium models can reach values as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s top-performing double glazing and triple glazing that performs twice as well as the regulatory minimum.
You’ll spot the difference on your energy costs.
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors with argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings are fantastic at sending heat back into the room while still allowing plenty of light through.
Upgrading from old single-glazed sash windows or 1990s double glazing? Expect a noticeable drop in heating bills within the first winter.
Barnton has its share of double glazing companies, and most supply standard products. Few, though, rival the quality of the windows and doors provided by The Advanced Group.

Our skilled installers are frequently asked about our triple glazing products.
An extra pane of glass makes triple glazing apart. It delivers better insulation and greater noise control over standard double glazing.
Exposed area. Up a hill. Facing north. Near a busy road or under a flight path. If any of those sounds like your property, The Advanced Group is here to walk you through the advantages of triple glazing.

We know that new windows are an significant spend, and paying for them all at once isn’t always realistic.
