New Windows Cove
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Perhaps you’ve noticed a change in temperature in your home. Heating bills creeping up. Or condensation forming on or inside your windows in the morning.
If that sounds familiar, your windows are sending you a signal.
Old windows lose their seal over time.
Gas escapes from between the panes. The rubber gaskets stiffen and shrink. What once did stop the cold now barely makes a difference.
In a part of the country like Cove, where rain and wind can often feel more regular than the sun, tired windows make a big difference to how warm and comfortable your house feels.
Over 38 years in the trade, and The Advanced Group is still here, ready to help. Whether it’s one room or the entire house that is due new windows and doors, we’ll find the right solution and have everything fitted the right way.

Certain issues are hard to miss. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t fasten the way they should.
Other signs, though, are less obvious, and by the time you notice, they might have been costing you money for months or even years.

If you can see moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass, this is a clear sign that the sealed unit has broken down.
Once the seal has failed, the argon gas that delivers insulation escapes, and the window loses a substantial amount of its thermal efficiency.
Don’t let rising heating prices chip away at your budget. Restore your home’s thermal performance by choosing properly sealed new windows.

Try placing your hand near the edges of your window on a windy day. If you can feel cold air sneaking through, the seals have worn away.
Draught proofing strips offer you time, but they’re a sticking plaster at best. The rubber continues to breaking down, and the fault only worsens.

If your windows jam, won’t lock correctly, or are hard to open, this presents both a security risk and an insulation issue. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms are all signs that the window has reached the end of its useful life.
Modern windows come with multi-point locking systems that are far more safe than the single-point catches on older frames. Options like toughened glass add extra protection too.

Your windows are the cause of a large share of the heat loss in your home. They’re the bridge between you and the weather outside.
Your old double glazing? It’s a thing of the past! The energy ratings are far below what’s on offer now, even if the original spec was decent back then.
Shield your house from high energy bills with new double glazed windows and doors.

Cove houses vary across all shapes and sizes, and the right window choice depends on your house, the room, and how you live in it.
The Advanced Group has a full range of double glazed and triple glazed windows and doors on offer, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs, all supplied and fitted by our experts.
Perhaps the most widely chosen window choice in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, which makes them practical for ventilation and simple to clean from inside.
Perfect for most property types, from modern builds to traditional houses, casement windows are available in a wide choice of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that replicate the appearance of timber without the maintenance or worry of warping.

The traditional look of wooden sash frames, replicated in every detail. That’s what our sliding sash windows provide, along with modern thermal performance and protection.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism mirror the traditional style. That’s essential if your property is in a conservation area or you just want to maintain its charm.
These windows tilt inward at the top for safe ventilation and turn completely inward on a side hinge for simple cleaning.
If you live in an upper-floor flat, these are a great pick because cleaning the outside of the glass from a ladder just isn’t feasible.
The tilt feature provides airflow without the security concerns associated with a fully open window, which is particularly valuable for families with young children.
Hinged at the top, opening outward from the bottom. Practical for ventilation and good at keeping rain out.
Commonly used in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window setups. Any space where privacy and airflow both count.

French windows are full-length units that open outward just like French doors.
Ideal in pairs. Pair them with sidelights to flood a wide opening with glass and natural light.

We focus in uPVC frame materials. And for solid reason.
uPVC frame materials are particularly well suited to the harsh Scottish weather, providing durability and resilience to rough, windy, and wet weather. Unlike timber frames, uPVC won’t have the same warping or rot problems.
Low maintenance comes in as standard with uPVC.
Wipe it down with soapy water. That’s it. It looks brand new.
But more importantly, our uPVC windows are very energy performant. Engineered with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames can reach a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, working to recover energy performance to your house.
Better of all? uPVC double glazing is the most budget-friendly option.
That allows you can often go for higher-specification glazing without stretching the budget. We also stock glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to complement.

For a large part of the year, Scotland’s climate is cold, wet, and windy.
With weather like that, the energy performance of your windows makes a genuine difference to what you pay on heating and how cosy your home feels from day to day!
Familiar with U-values? That’s how the thermal efficiency of any window is measured.
The lower that value goes, the less heat gets through. Scottish building regulations set the maximum at 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows currently.
Our standard double glazed windows perform at 1.2 W/m2K. The premium models? As low as 0.8 W/m2K. Twice as efficient as the regulatory minimum, easily.
That performance gain is clearly reflected on your energy statements.
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors, equipped with argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings, function by bouncing heat back into the room while still managing to let light through.
If you are switching from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you should experience a significant decrease in your heating costs within the first winter.
A lot of double glazing firms in Cove supply standard products, but not many can match the quality of the windows and doors we provide.

Our trusted installers often get asked about our triple glazing options.
The additional pane of glass in triple glazing helps it to deliver enhanced insulation and improved noise dampening.
If your house is in an exposed area, up a hill, facing north, or near a busy road or flight path, The Advanced Group is more than pleased to walk you through the advantages of triple glazing.

New windows are an significant spend. Paying all at once isn’t always realistic. We get that.

It lets you get the windows you deserve and spread the cost of your new windows and doors in a way that fits nicely for you!
