New Windows Crookedholm
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Perhaps you’ve noticed a change in temperature in your home. Heating bills creeping up. Or condensation appearing on or inside your windows in the morning.
If that describes your situation, your windows are giving you a message.
As windows wear, they start to lose their seal.
The gas between the panes escapes, the rubber gaskets stiffen and pull away, and what once did keep the cold out now barely makes a difference.
Living in Crookedholm, you know that rain and wind sometimes outnumber the sunny days, and ageing windows make a noticeable difference to how warm and comfortable your home feels.
The Advanced Group is here to help, backed by over 38 years of trusted experience. Whether you need new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll guide you to the right fit and ensure everything is fitted correctly.

Some issues are obvious. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t close correctly.
But other symptoms are less obvious, and by the time you notice them, they’ve already been losing you money for months, perhaps even years.

Moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass? The sealed unit has gone.
Once that seal breaks, the argon gas that delivers insulation leaks out, and your window loses a big amount of its thermal efficiency.
Quit throwing money away on climbing heating costs. Restore your home’s thermal performance with well sealed new windows.

Here’s a quick test: put your hand near the edges of the window on a windy day. If cold air is coming through, the seals have broken down.
Draught proofing strips? They’re a quick fix. The issue only gets worse as the rubber keeps perish.

A window that jams, won’t lock properly, or refuses to budge is more than an irritation. It’s a security risk and an insulation concern. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms are the window’s way of saying it’s past its best.
Modern windows use multi-point locking systems that are far ahead of the single-point catches on older frames. Factor in toughened glass, and you’ve got properly improved safety.
A significant share of heat loss in any property happens through the windows. They represent the bridge between your living space and the outside weather.
Your old double glazing? It’s a thing of the past! The energy ratings are way below what’s achievable now, even if the original specification was decent when first installed.
Want to protect your house from those high energy bills? New double glazed windows and doors are the solution.

Every Crookedholm house has its own character. The right window type comes down to the building, the room, and how you live in it.
The Advanced Group provides a full range of windows and doors in both double glazed and triple glazed configurations, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs.

Perhaps the most popular window choice in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, which makes them great for ventilation and straightforward to clean from inside.
Casement windows match just about every property kind, whether it’s a modern build or a traditional property! They are available in a huge range of colours and finishes, and the woodgrain effects replicate real timber without the maintenance or warping risk.

The classic look of wooden sash frames, mirrored in every detail. That’s what our sliding sash windows offer, along with modern thermal performance and security.
Proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism all follow the traditional style. Great for conservation areas or keeping your property’s charm.

Tilt them inward at the top for safe ventilation. Turn them completely inward on a side hinge for quick cleaning. Two options, one window.
Upper-floor flat? Cleaning outside glass from a ladder isn’t an option. Tilt and turn windows sort that problem completely.
Airflow without the security concern of a fully open window. That’s what the tilt function gives, and it’s especially handy for families with young children.
Top hung windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom, making them a sensible choice for ventilation while helping to keep rain out.
Often used in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window arrangements. Any space where privacy and airflow both count.

Full-length windows that open outward like French doors. That’s what French windows are.
Pair them up and combine them with sidelights, and you can flood a wide opening with glass and natural light. The effect is striking.
The Advanced Group’s speciality is uPVC frame materials, and this choice is backed by sound reasons.
Scotland’s weather won’t play nice with your windows, and uPVC is built to withstand it. It’s tough, resistant to rough, windy, wet conditions, and unlike timber, it won’t rot the same way.
Beyond that, uPVC delivers the advantage of being low maintenance.
A quick wipe down with soapy water is all it needs to keep your uPVC windows looking good as new.
But more significantly, our uPVC windows are extremely energy efficient. Engineered with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames can reach a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, working to bring back energy efficiency to your house.
And the better bit? uPVC double glazing is the most cost-effective option available.
This allows you to often fit higher-spec glazing without blowing your budget. We also stock glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to coordinate.
Scotland’s weather is cold, wet, and windy for a fair part of the year.
With that climate, your windows’ energy performance genuinely impacts your heating bills and how cosy your home feels every day.
U-value. That’s the figure that reveals you how thermally efficient a window really is.
The lower the number, the less heat gets out through the glass and frame. Scottish building regulations currently demand a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows deliver 1.2 W/m2K, and our premium options can hit values as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s top-performing double glazing and triple glazing that operates twice as well as the regulatory minimum.
The proof? It shows up on your energy bills.
Argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings do the heavy lifting in A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors. Heat gets reflected back in. Light still comes through.
If you’re coming from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you could see a properly noticeable drop in your heating spend within just the first winter!
There are plenty of double glazing firms in Crookedholm offering standard products, but not many can come close to the quality of what we supply.

Triple glazing is among the most regular enquiries our trusted installers hear.
With an extra pane of glass, triple glazing offers better insulation and greater noise control.
If your property is located in an exposed area, up a hill, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, reach out! The Advanced Group would be more than happy to guide you through the advantages of triple glazing.
