Fitting Scotland Perfectly
New Windows Crosshouse
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Maybe you’ve noticed a shift in temperature around your home. Energy bills climbing. Or condensation collecting on or inside your windows every morning.
Ring a bell? Your windows are sending you a clear sign.
Over time, older windows begin to lose their seal.
The gas between the panes escapes, the rubber gaskets go rigid and pull away, and what once did keep the cold out now barely makes a difference.
In a location like Crosshouse, where rain and wind are often more frequent than sunshine, ageing windows have a real effect on how warm and pleasant your house feels.
The Advanced Group is here to support you, backed by over 38 years of trusted service. Whether you need new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll work with you to choose the right solution and make sure everything is fitted correctly.

Certain problems are obvious. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t lock properly.
Some signs fly under the radar however, and by the time you notice them, they’ve been quietly losing you money for months or even years.

If you can spot moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass, the sealed unit has broken down.
Once that seal fails, the argon gas that delivers insulation escapes out, and your window loses a huge chunk of its thermal performance.
Don’t let rising heating bills eat into your budget. Bring back your home’s thermal efficiency by installing perfectly sealed new windows.

Here’s a quick test: put your hand near the edges of the window on a windy day. If cold air is getting through, the seals have broken down.
Draught proofing strips can help for a while, but they’re a sticking plaster on a fault that will only deteriorate as the rubber goes on to degrade.

If your windows catch, won’t close properly, or are tough to operate, this presents both a safety risk and an insulation concern. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms are all signals that the window has reached the end of its functional life.
Multi-point locking systems on modern windows are far more protective than the single-point catches on older frames, and options like toughened glass add additional security.
Windows account for a significant amount of heat loss in any home. Your window is the boundary between you and the outside weather.
Double glazing from the past is just that, in the past. The energy ratings land well below modern offerings, even if the original specification was decent at the time.
Installing new double glazed windows and doors is one of the smartest ways to guard your home from high energy bills.

Crosshouse properties vary across all styles and types, and the right window type depends on your building, the room, and how you live in it.
A full lineup of windows and doors, double glazed and triple glazed, is available from The Advanced Group, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs, all supplied and fitted by our installers.

Possibly the most popular window type in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, which makes them ideal for ventilation and straightforward to clean from inside.
Perfect for most property kinds, from modern builds to traditional houses, casement windows are available in a wide selection of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that mimic the look of timber without the maintenance or fear of warping.

Our sliding sash windows look like original wooden sash frames. Modern thermal efficiency and safety come as standard.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism match the traditional look. That’s key if your property is in a conservation area or you just want to preserve its personality.

These windows offer two options: tilting inward at the top for safe ventilation, and turning fully inward on a side hinge for simple cleaning.
Upper-floor flat? Cleaning outside glass from a ladder isn’t an option. Tilt and turn windows sort that problem straight away.
Airflow without the safety worry of a fully open window. That’s what the tilt mode gives, and it’s particularly handy for families with young children.
Top hung windows hinge at the top and open outward from the bottom. This makes them a smart choice for ventilation while working to hold rain from getting in.
You’ll often spot them in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window configurations, spaces where both privacy and airflow matter.

French windows are full-length panels that open outward, functioning much like French doors.
Paired together, they work brilliantly and can be combined with sidelights to cover a wide opening with glass and natural light.
The Advanced Group’s specialism is uPVC frame materials, and this decision is supported by sound reasons.
Scotland’s weather won’t take it easy on your windows, and uPVC is designed to withstand it. It’s tough, resistant to harsh, windy, wet weather, and unlike timber, it won’t rot the same way.
uPVC is low maintenance too.
Simply wipe it down with soapy water and it can look fresh.
But more significantly, our uPVC windows are extremely energy effective. Built with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames can hit a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, working to recover energy performance to your home.
And you know the better part? uPVC double glazing is also the most affordable option available!
This means you can often fit premium-grade glazing without blowing the budget. We also offer glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to match.
Cold, wet, and windy. That’s Scotland for a good chunk of the year.
With that weather, your windows’ energy performance genuinely impacts your heating spend and how cosy your home feels day to day.
U-value. That’s the figure that tells you how effective a window really is.
A lower number means less heat getting out through the glass and frame. Currently, Scottish building regulations require a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows perform at 1.2 W/m2K, and the premium range can reach as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s double glazing and triple glazing working at twice the level of the regulatory minimum.
That performance gain is directly reflected on your energy statements.
A-rated windows and doors. Argon gas filled sealed units. Low-E glass coatings. Heat pushed back in, light still flowing through.
Switching from old single-glazed sash windows or 1990s double glazing? You could see a real drop in heating costs within the first winter.
While many double glazing businesses in Crosshouse provide entry-level products, few can rival the calibre of the windows and doors we provide.

Triple glazing is one of the most frequent enquiries our trusted installers receive.
With an extra pane of glass, triple glazing delivers improved insulation and better noise dampening.
If your property is perched in an exposed spot, up a hill, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, give us a shout! The Advanced Group would be more than glad to walk you through the upsides of triple glazing.

We fully get that new windows are an investment, and paying for them all at once isn’t always practical.
