Fitting Scotland Perfectly
New Windows Culloden
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Maybe you’ve picked up on a shift in temperature inside your house. Heating costs going up. Or condensation sitting on or inside your windows each morning.
Does that sound? Your windows are letting you know it’s time for a change.
Old windows shed their seal with age.
The gas between the panes leaks out, the rubber gaskets stiffen and pull back, and what once held back the cold now barely slows it down.
Living in Culloden, you get that rain and wind sometimes beat the sunny days, and ageing windows make a real difference to how warm and cosy your house feels.
But there’s no need to worry, The Advanced Group is here to help with more than 38 years of trusted know-how. Whether it’s new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll find you the right option and have everything installed properly.

Some issues are easy to spot, such as cracked glass, rotten timber frames, and handles that won’t fasten properly.
But other symptoms are less obvious, and by the time you catch them, they’ve already been costing you money for months, sometimes even years.

If you can notice moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass, the sealed unit has failed.
Once the seal has broken, the argon gas that provides insulation seeps away, and the window loses a substantial portion of its thermal efficiency.
Stop wasting money away on climbing heating prices. Bring back your home’s thermal performance with perfectly sealed new windows.

Place your hand near the window edges on a windy day. Cold air getting through? The seals have worn away.
Sure, draught proofing strips can help for a short time, but they’re really a sticking plaster. The fault only gets worse as the rubber continues to breaking down.

Jamming windows that won’t fasten correctly aren’t just inconvenient, they’re a safety risk and an insulation problem too. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms all suggest a window that’s hit the end of its useful life.
Multi-point locking systems on modern windows provide much greater safety than the single-point catches found on older frames, and toughened glass choices add an additional layer of safety.

Your windows are responsible for a considerable share of the heat loss in your house. They’re the link between you and the weather outside.
Old double glazing can’t compete. The energy ratings are well below what’s possible now, even if the original specification was decent at the time.
Fitting new double glazed windows and doors is one of the smartest ways to guard your house from high energy bills.

Every Culloden home has its own character. The right window style depends on the building, the room, and how you occupy it.
The Advanced Group has a wide range of double glazed and triple glazed windows and doors in stock, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs, all supplied and installed by our experts.

The most common window type in the UK. Side-hinged, opening outwards. Great for ventilation and easy to clean from inside.
Casement windows complement most property styles, from modern houses to traditional villas, and are provided in a wide choice of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that replicate the look of timber without the maintenance and worry of warping.
Our sliding sash windows replicate original wooden sash frames. Modern thermal performance and security are included as standard.
Every proportion, sight line, and opening mechanism matches the traditional look. Whether your property sits in a conservation area or you simply want to keep its character, these windows fit the bill.

Tilt and turn windows are properly clever! They tilt inward at the top for protected ventilation and swing completely inward on a side hinge for easy cleaning.
Upper-floor flat? Cleaning outside glass from a ladder isn’t realistic. Tilt and turn windows fix that challenge easily.
The tilt function provides airflow without the safety worries associated with a fully open window, which is particularly handy for families with young children.

Top hung windows hinge at the top and open outward from the bottom. This makes them a smart choice for ventilation while helping to stop rain from getting in.
You’ll often find them in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window arrangements, places where both privacy and airflow count.

French windows function just like French doors but are full-length windows that open outward.
Paired together, they work beautifully and can be matched with sidelights to cover a wide opening with glass and natural light.

uPVC frame materials. That’s what The Advanced Group specialises in, and the reasons are solid.
Scottish weather is harsh. uPVC is built to take it. Long-lasting, resilient to rough, windy, wet weather. No warping or rot concerns like timber.
Better still, uPVC is incredibly low maintenance.
Wipe it down with soapy water. Job done. Looks as good as new.
Energy performance is where our uPVC windows genuinely shine. Multi-chambered uPVC design, U-values as low as 0.8 W/m2K on some frames, and a real improvement to the energy performance of your house.
Better of all? uPVC double glazing is the most affordable option.
Higher-spec glazing without exceeding the budget? That’s what uPVC makes. We also stock glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to complement.
Scotland is cold, wet, and windy for a significant chunk of the year.
With that environment, your windows’ energy efficiency really affects your heating spend and how warm your home feels day to day.
Thermal efficiency is measured by U-value.
A lower value means less heat being lost through the glass and frame. At present, Scottish building regulations set a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows perform at 1.2 W/m2K. The premium models? As low as 0.8 W/m2K. Twice as good as the regulatory minimum, without question.
The difference is reflected on your energy bills.
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors with argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings send heat back into the room while still allowing light through.
If you’re moving from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you could see a noticeable drop in your heating spend within the first winter.
Many double glazing companies in Culloden sell entry-level products, but few can match the quality of the windows and doors we supply.
Our trusted installers are regularly asked about the triple glazing products we carry.
With an extra pane of glass, triple glazing delivers stronger insulation and improved noise reduction.
If your property is positioned in an exposed spot, up a hill or high above sea level, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, The Advanced Group would be more than glad to guide you through the benefits of triple glazing.
