New Windows Danderhall
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

A shift in temperature around the home. Increasing heating costs. Condensation sitting on or inside the windows each morning. Ring any bells?
Ring a bell? Your windows are telling you a message.
Older windows lose their seal over time.
The gas between the panes leaks out, the rubber gaskets stiffen and contract, and what once held back the cold now barely makes a difference.
Danderhall gets its fair share of rain and wind, sometimes more than sunshine. When your windows are tired, you feel the difference in how warm and snug your house stays.
The Advanced Group is here to support you, backed by over 38 years of trusted expertise. Whether you want new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll work with you to choose the right solution and ensure everything is fitted correctly.

The obvious ones jump out. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t lock the way they should.
But other signs are easier to miss, and by the time you notice them, they’ve already been losing you money for months or even years.

If you can see moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass, the sealed unit has given way.
The seal goes, and with it escapes the argon gas that delivered the insulation. The window loses a major degree of its thermal ability.
Don’t let climbing heating prices drain your budget. Recover your home’s thermal efficiency by choosing perfectly sealed new windows.

Try a quick test: put your hand near the edges of the window on a windy day. If cold air is sneaking through, the seals have worn out.
Draught proofing strips may help for a while, but they’re just a sticking plaster on a problem that’ll only deteriorate as the rubber continues to perishing.

Windows that catch, won’t fasten correctly, or refuse to open are both a security risk and an insulation concern. Warped frames, worn hinges, failed mechanisms. The window has come to the end of its functional life.
Multi-point locking systems on modern windows offer far greater security than the single-point catches found on older windows, and toughened glass choices provide an additional layer of security.

Your windows are how a significant share of your home’s heat is lost. That thin barrier between you and the outside weather makes a difference more than most people realise.
If your double glazing is dated, the energy ratings will very likely be well below what’s achievable today, even if they were a decent specification when first fitted.
High energy costs don’t have to be the norm. New double glazed windows and doors help protect your property and pull those costs down.

The right window choice for your Danderhall property will depend on the building itself, the room in question, and how you occupy it.
The Advanced Group stocks and installs a full range of windows and doors in double glazed and triple glazed options, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs.
As perhaps the most popular window type in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, giving practical ventilation and straightforward cleaning from inside.
Modern house or traditional house, casement windows suit the lot. A wide choice of colours and finishes is on offer, and the woodgrain effects replicate the look of timber without any of the maintenance or warping worries.

The sliding sash windows we fit mirror the style of original wooden sash frames, while providing modern thermal efficiency and security.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism follow the traditional look. That’s important if your property is in a conservation area or you just want to maintain its character.
These windows provide two functions: tilting inward at the top for secure ventilation, and turning completely inward on a side hinge for straightforward cleaning.
They’re especially well-liked in upper-floor flats, where climbing up a ladder to clean the outside of the glass isn’t practical.
The tilt function provides you airflow without the safety worries of a fully open window, which is particularly valuable for families with young children.
Hinged at the top, opening outward from the bottom. Practical for ventilation and great at keeping rain out.
Frequently installed in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window setups. Any space where privacy and airflow both count.

Think of them as full-length windows that open outward, exactly like French doors. That’s French windows for you.
In pairs, they perform fantastic, and you can match them with sidelights to fill a wide opening with glass and lots of natural light.

There are good reasons why The Advanced Group specialises in uPVC frame materials.
Scottish weather is harsh, and uPVC is made to be long-lasting and tough to harsh, windy, and wet weather. Unlike timber frames, uPVC won’t have the same warping or rot problems.
In addition, uPVC offers the advantage of being low maintenance.
Simply wipe it down with soapy water and it can look good as new.
But more significantly, our uPVC windows are extremely energy efficient. Engineered with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames can hit a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, helping bring back energy performance to your house.
The cherry on top? uPVC double glazing is the most cost-effective option going.
That allows you can often go for premium-grade glazing without blowing the budget. We also stock glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to complement.

For a large part of the year, Scotland’s climate is cold, wet, and windy.
That climate means the energy rating of your windows counts. It shapes how much you pay on heating and how cosy your property feels day to day.
Familiar with U-values? That’s how the thermal efficiency of any window is measured.
A lower U-value indicates less heat getting out through the glass and frame. Scottish building regulations currently set a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows deliver a U-value of 1.2 W/m2K, while our premium options can attain values as low as 0.8 W/m2K, performing at twice the standard of the regulatory minimum.
And where does that difference show up? Right on your energy statements!
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors use argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings to reflect heat back into the room, all while letting natural light through.
If you are upgrading from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you should notice a clear drop in your heating spend within the first winter.
There are lots of double glazing companies in Danderhall supplying entry-level products, but not many can rival the calibre of what we install.

Triple glazing is among the most common enquiries our trusted installers hear.
With an extra pane of glass, triple glazing delivers enhanced insulation and improved noise reduction.
Exposed location. Up a hill. Facing north. Near a busy road or under a flight path. If any of those rings true like your property, The Advanced Group is here to walk you through the benefits of triple glazing.

New windows are an significant spend. Paying for them all at once? Not always practical. We get that.
That’s why we provide 0% APR and up to 4 years of interest free credit, which makes the process much more manageable!
This lets you get the windows you want by spreading the cost of your new windows and doors in a way that fits with your finances.
