New Windows Gorebridge
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

You’ve spotted the temperature dropping in your house. Energy bills are climbing. Condensation sits on or inside your windows every morning.
If that sounds familiar, your windows are sending you a signal.
Older windows lose their seal over time.
The gas between the panes leaks out, the rubber gaskets harden and pull back, and what used to held back the cold now hardly does anything.
Gorebridge’s rain and wind can seem more regular than the sun. Tired windows make a real difference to how warm and comfortable your home feels.
No need to panic about it! The Advanced Group has been helping homeowners for over 38 years. Whether you need new windows for just one room or every room of replacement windows and doors, we’ll match you with the right option and get it all fitted properly.

Some issues are obvious. Cracked glass. Rotten timber frames. Handles that don’t close right.
But other signs are harder to notice, and by the time you catch them, they’ve probably already been losing you money for months, perhaps even years.

Noticing moisture or fogging between your two panes of glass means the sealed unit has failed.
The seal goes. The argon gas escapes out. The window loses a significant chunk of its thermal performance.
Increasing heating prices don’t have to keep eating into your pocket. Perfectly sealed new windows will restore your home’s thermal efficiency and help bring those costs back down.

Try placing your hand near the edges of your window on a windy day. If you notice cold air sneaking through, the seals have worn away.
Draught proofing strips provide a short-term fix, but they’re really a sticking plaster on a fault that will only deteriorate as the rubber keeps degrade.

If your windows catch, won’t fasten properly, or are difficult to open, this creates both a safety risk and an insulation problem. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms are all signals that the window has come to the end of its working life.
Multi-point locking systems beat the old single-point catches for security. Toughened glass gives another layer of safety.

Windows leak a considerable amount of your home’s heat. They’re the boundary between you and the outside elements.
If your double glazing is dated, the energy ratings will most probably be significantly below what’s achievable today, even if they were a decent specification when first installed.
Shield your home from high energy bills. New double glazed windows and doors deliver the difference.

No two Gorebridge houses are the same, and the best window type hinges on the house, the room, and how you live in it.
The Advanced Group delivers a full choice of windows and doors in both double glazed and triple glazed configurations, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs.
Perhaps the most popular window choice in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, which makes them practical for ventilation and straightforward to clean from inside.
Casement windows work with most property types. Modern homes, traditional houses, the lot in between. On offer in a wide choice of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that deliver the look of timber without the maintenance or warping risk.

Our sliding sash windows are designed to recreate the appearance of original wooden sash frames, while providing modern levels of thermal performance and security.
Every proportion, sight line, and opening mechanism mirrors the traditional style. Whether your property sits in a conservation area or you simply want to hold onto its charm, these windows deliver.
Tilt and turn windows tilt inward at the top for secure ventilation, and turn completely inward on a side hinge for simple cleaning.
They’re particularly popular in upper-floor flats, where climbing up a ladder to clean the outside of the glass isn’t feasible.
The tilt feature lets air in without the security concerns of having the window wide open, which is particularly valuable if you’ve got young children.
Top hung windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom, providing a smart option for ventilation that also works to keep rain out.
Commonly used in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window setups. Any space where privacy and airflow both matter.

French windows are full-length units that open outward just like French doors.
They’re great in pairs and can be combined with sidelights to flood a wide opening with glass and natural light.

The Advanced Group concentrates in uPVC frame materials, and for some genuinely good reasons!
uPVC frame materials are particularly well suited to the unforgiving Scottish climate, providing hardwearing performance and resilience to wild, windy, and wet weather. Unlike timber frames, uPVC won’t suffer from the same warping or rot problems.
Low maintenance is baked in as standard with uPVC.
Wipe it down with soapy water. Job done. It looks fresh.
The big benefit? Energy efficiency. Our uPVC windows use multi-chambered uPVC, and some frames achieve a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That brings back proper energy performance to your house.
And best of all? uPVC double glazing is also the most affordable option.
This means you can often choose higher-specification glazing without exceeding the budget. We also provide glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to match.

Cold, wet, and windy. That’s Scotland for a large portion of the year.
With weather like that, the energy performance of your windows makes a real difference to what you pay on heating and how cosy your home feels day to day!
Ever heard of U-values? That’s how the thermal efficiency of any window is measured.
The lower that number goes, the less heat escapes. Scottish building regulations set the maximum at 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows at present.
Standard double glazed windows: 1.2 W/m2K. Premium models: as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s twice as effective as the regulatory minimum.
The difference appears on your energy bills.
A-rated windows and doors. Argon gas filled sealed units. Low-E glass coatings. Heat reflected back in, light still getting through.
If you’re upgrading from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you could see a significant drop in your heating costs within the first winter.
While many double glazing businesses in Gorebridge offer entry-level products, few can rival the standard of the windows and doors we supply.

We get asked about triple glazing a lot.
An extra pane of glass. Stronger insulation. Better noise control. That’s triple glazing.
Exposed spot? Up a hill? Facing north? Near a busy road or flight path? The Advanced Group will talk you through the advantages of triple glazing.

We totally understand that new windows are an investment, and paying for them all at once isn’t always realistic.
That’s precisely why we have available 0% APR and up to 4 years of interest free credit.
It means you get the windows you deserve and spread the cost of your new windows and doors in a way that suits comfortably for you!
