New Windows Gourock
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Maybe you’ve noticed a change in temperature in your property. Energy bills going up. Or condensation sitting on or inside your windows in the morning.
If that sounds like your home, your windows are sending you a sign.
Older windows shed their seal over time.
The gas between the panes seeps away, the rubber gaskets stiffen and shrink, and what used to hold the cold out now barely slows it down.
In a location like Gourock, where rain and wind are often more regular than sunshine, worn windows have a real effect on how warm and comfortable your house feels.
Over 38 years in the business, and The Advanced Group is still here, on hand to help. Whether it’s one room or the entire house that is due new windows and doors, we’ll find the right option and get everything fitted properly.

Some issues are easy to spot. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t fasten as they should.
But other signs are less obvious, and by the time you catch them, they’ve already been costing you money for months, perhaps even years.

Noticing moisture or fogging between your two panes of glass indicates the sealed unit has failed.
Once that seal fails, the argon gas that provides insulation leaks out, and your window loses a significant portion of its thermal efficiency.
Don’t let climbing heating bills chip away at your budget. Restore your home’s thermal performance by installing properly sealed new windows.

A windy day reveals you all you need to know. Put your hand near the edges of the window. Cold air coming through tells you the seals have worn away.
Draught proofing strips offer a short-term solution, but they’re essentially a sticking plaster on a fault that will only deteriorate as the rubber keeps perish.

Windows that jam, won’t fasten correctly, or refuse to budge are both a safety risk and an insulation concern. Warped frames, worn hinges, failed mechanisms. The window has hit the end of its useful life.
Modern windows have multi-point locking systems that are far more secure than the single-point catches on older models. Options like toughened glass give extra safety too.
Your windows are behind a large share of the heat loss in your property. They’re the link between you and the elements.
Your old double glazing? It’s had its day! The energy ratings are well below what’s on offer now, even if the original setup was decent at the time.
New double glazed windows and doors will protect your property from high energy costs.

No two Gourock properties are the alike, and the best window style comes down to on the building, the room, and how you use it.
The Advanced Group offers a full range of windows and doors in both double glazed and triple glazed options, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs.

The most common window style in the UK. Side-hinged, opening outwards. Ideal for ventilation and easy to clean from inside.
They complement most kinds of property, from modern houses to traditional villas, and are available in a wide range of colours and finishes. Woodgrain effects replicate the look of timber without the maintenance or worry of warping.

Our sliding sash windows mirror original wooden sash frames. Modern thermal performance and safety are included as standard.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism all mirror the traditional style, which matters if your property is in a conservation area or you simply want to keep its charm.

Tilt and turn windows tilt inward at the top for protected ventilation, and turn fully inward on a side hinge for straightforward cleaning.
They’re a popular choice for upper-floor flats where cleaning the outside of the glass from a ladder isn’t realistic.
The tilt mode gives you airflow without the safety concerns of a fully open window, which is especially useful for families with young children.
Top hung windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom, making them a smart choice for ventilation while helping to keep rain out.
You’ll often see them in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window configurations, rooms where both privacy and airflow matter.

French windows are full-length windows that open outward like French doors.
They’re great in pairs and can be matched with sidelights to fill a wide opening with glass and natural light.
uPVC frame materials. That’s what The Advanced Group focuses in, and the reasons are good.
Scottish weather is tough, and uPVC is built to be long-lasting and resilient to harsh, windy, and wet weather. Unlike timber frames, uPVC won’t have the same warping or rot concerns.
Low maintenance is baked in as standard with uPVC.
Just a quick wipe with soapy water and it can look brand new!
The real selling point? Energy efficiency. Our uPVC windows are built with multi-chambered uPVC, and some frames achieve a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That restores proper energy performance to your property.
And the better news? uPVC double glazing is the most affordable option on the market.
This means you can often install higher-spec glazing without exceeding the budget. We also offer glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to match.
Scotland is cold, wet, and windy for a significant chunk of the year.
With that environment, your windows’ energy rating genuinely impacts your heating bills and how cosy your house feels every day.
A window’s thermal efficiency is measured by something called its U-value.
A lower figure means less heat escaping through the glass and frame. At present, Scottish building regulations set a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Standard double glazed windows: 1.2 W/m2K. Premium models: as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s twice as effective as the regulatory minimum.
The difference shows up on your energy bills.
A-rated windows and doors. Argon gas filled sealed units. Low-E glass coatings. Heat reflected back in, light still flowing through.
If you’re switching from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you could see a noticeable drop in your heating costs within the first winter.
Gourock has no shortage of double glazing businesses. Few rival the quality of our windows and doors.

Our trusted installers often get asked about our triple glazing options.
An extra pane of glass makes triple glazing apart. It delivers better insulation and better noise dampening compared to standard double glazing.
If your property is perched in an exposed spot, up a hill, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, give us a shout! The Advanced Group would be more than happy to walk you through the advantages of triple glazing.
