New Windows Hallglen
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Perhaps you’ve noticed a change in temperature in your house. Heating bills going up. Or condensation appearing on or inside your windows in the morning.
That nagging feeling? It’s your windows telling you they need attention.
Old windows lose their seal over time.
That gas between the panes? It seeps away. The rubber gaskets stiffen and pull away. And what previously did keep the cold out barely slows it down.
In a city like Hallglen, where rain and wind can sometimes feel more regular than the sun, ageing windows make a real difference to how warm and comfortable your home feels.
No need to panic about it! The Advanced Group has been doing this for over 38 years. Whether you want new windows for just one room or every room of replacement windows and doors, we’ll help you find the right choice and get it all installed properly.

The easy ones stand out. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t lock properly.
Some signs sneak under the radar however, and by the time you notice them, they’ve been steadily losing you money for months or even years.

Spotting moisture or fogging between your two sheets of glass tells you the sealed unit has failed.
Once the seal has gone, the argon gas that provides insulation seeps away, and the window loses a significant portion of its thermal efficiency.
Climbing heating costs don’t have to keep climbing. Properly sealed new windows will bring back your home’s thermal performance and help pull those costs back down.

Try putting your hand near the edges of your window on a windy day. If you notice cold air coming through, the seals have deteriorated.
Draught proofing strips offer you time, but they’re a sticking plaster at best. The rubber continues to breaking down, and the issue only grows.

Windows that catch, won’t fasten correctly, or refuse to budge are both a safety risk and an insulation problem. Warped frames, worn hinges, failed mechanisms. The window has hit the end of its functional life.
The single-point catches on older windows don’t match up with the multi-point locking systems on modern ones. Add toughened glass, and your property has a real security improvement.
Windows contribute to a large share of heat loss in any house. It is the barrier between you and the outside elements.
Double glazing from years ago is a thing of the past, and the energy ratings will be well below what’s achievable today, even if the specification was decent at the time.
Guard your home from high energy bills with new double glazed windows and doors.

Every Hallglen house has its own personality. The right window type comes down to the building, the room, and how you use it.
A full selection of windows and doors, double glazed and triple glazed, is ready from The Advanced Group, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung types, all supplied and fitted by our installers.

The casement window claims the crown of the UK’s most popular style. Side-hinged and opening outwards, they’re great for ventilation and a breeze to clean from inside.
Casement windows go with most property styles. Modern builds, traditional houses, the lot in between. Provided in a wide range of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that give the look of timber without the maintenance or warping risk.

Our sliding sash windows are designed to replicate the look of original wooden sash frames, while offering modern levels of thermal performance and protection.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism follow the traditional design. That’s important if your property is in a conservation area or you just want to keep its character.

These windows offer two options: tilting inward at the top for protected ventilation, and turning fully inward on a side hinge for straightforward cleaning.
They’re particularly well-liked in upper-floor flats, where getting up a ladder to clean the outside of the glass is not realistic.
The tilt feature is a genuine bonus! You get airflow without the security risks of a fully open window, which is especially handy if you’ve got young children at home.
Hinged at the top, swinging outward from the bottom. Top hung windows give you ventilation and work to hold the rain out at the same time.
You’ll see top hung windows in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window configurations, essentially anywhere that privacy and airflow are both important.

French windows are full-length windows that open outward like French doors.
Pair them up and combine them with sidelights, and you can fill a wide opening with glass and natural light. The effect is stunning.
The Advanced Group concentrates in uPVC frame materials, and for very good reasons!
Scottish weather is harsh. uPVC is designed to handle it. Hardwearing, resistant to harsh, windy, wet weather. No warping or rot concerns like timber.
uPVC is low maintenance too.
Soapy water and a wipe. That’s all it takes to get uPVC looking good as new.
More importantly though, our uPVC windows are highly energy efficient. With multi-chambered uPVC design, some of our frames can achieve a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, helping to bring back your home’s energy efficiency.
And best of all? uPVC double glazing is also the most cost-effective option.
That means you can often choose higher-spec glazing without stretching the budget. We also provide glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to match.
For a significant chunk of the year, Scotland’s weather is cold, wet, and windy.
With that environment, your windows’ energy performance directly impacts your heating bills and how warm your house feels every day.
The thermal efficiency of any window is measured by its U-value.
A lower value means less heat getting out through the glass and frame. At present, Scottish building regulations demand a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows reach 1.2 W/m2K, and our premium products can reach values as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s high-quality double glazing and triple glazing that performs twice as well as the regulatory minimum.
The proof? It appears on your energy bills.
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors with argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings reflect heat back into the room while still allowing light through.
Upgrading from old single-glazed sash windows or 1990s double glazing? Expect a clear drop in heating bills within the first winter.
While many double glazing companies in Hallglen provide standard products, few can compare with the quality of the windows and doors we install.

Our trusted installers often get asked about our triple glazing range.
An extra pane of glass sets triple glazing apart. It means better insulation and better noise reduction compared to standard double glazing.
Exposed spot? Up a hill? Facing north? Near a busy road or flight path? The Advanced Group will talk you through the benefits of triple glazing.
