New Windows Heathfield
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Noticed a temperature drop in your home? Heating bills on the increase? Or condensation appearing on or inside your windows when you wake up?
Ring a bell? Your windows are sending you a signal.
Old windows drop their seal over time.
Gas leaks from between the panes. The rubber gaskets go rigid and shrink. What used to stop the cold now barely registers.
In a part of the country like Heathfield, where rain and wind can frequently feel more frequent than the sun, tired windows make a noticeable difference to how warm and pleasant your house feels.
The Advanced Group is here to support you, bringing over 38 years of trusted experience. Whether you need new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll guide you to the right option and ensure everything is installed the right way.

Some issues are easy to spot. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t close correctly.
Other issues, though, are harder to spot, and by the time you spot, they might have been costing you money for months or even years.

Can you see moisture or fogging forming between the two sheets of glass? That means the sealed unit has given way.
Once the seal has gone, the argon gas that provides insulation seeps away, and the window loses a substantial chunk of its thermal performance.
Rising heating bills don’t have to empty your wallet. Bring back your home’s thermal performance with properly sealed new windows.

A windy day tells you everything. Put your hand near the edges of the window. Cold air coming through tells you the seals have deteriorated.
Draught proofing strips buy you time, but they’re a sticking plaster at most. The rubber continues to degrading, and the problem only gets worse.

Windows that catch, won’t fasten correctly, or refuse to open are both a safety risk and an insulation concern. Warped frames, worn hinges, failed mechanisms. The window has reached the end of its working life.
Modern windows feature multi-point locking systems that are significantly more safe than the single-point catches on older frames. Options like toughened glass provide extra security too.
A large proportion of heat loss in any house comes from the windows. They act as the bridge between your indoor space and the outside elements.
Your old double glazing? It’s had its day! The energy ratings are far below what’s on offer today, even if the original spec was good at the time.
Installing new double glazed windows and doors is one of the smartest ways to guard your property from high energy costs.

Every Heathfield house has its own character. The right window choice comes down to the house, the room, and how you occupy it.
The Advanced Group offers and fits a full range of windows and doors in both double glazed and triple glazed options, including uPVC triple and double and triple glazed casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung types.

The most popular window style in the UK. Side-hinged, opening outwards. Ideal for ventilation and easy to clean from inside.
Casement windows complement most property types, from modern builds to traditional houses, and are provided in a wide selection of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that mimic the look of timber without the maintenance and risk of warping.

The sliding sash windows we fit replicate the appearance of original wooden sash frames, while providing modern thermal efficiency and protection.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism are all made to mirror the traditional design, which is particularly important if your property is in a conservation area or you wish to preserve its character.

Tilt and turn windows are really clever! They tilt inward at the top for secure ventilation and swing completely inward on a side hinge for dead easy cleaning.
Well-liked in upper-floor flats. Cleaning the outside from a ladder? Not feasible.
The tilt function gives you airflow without the security worries of a fully open window, which is especially valuable for families with young children.
Top hung windows hinge at the top and open outward from the bottom. This makes them a practical choice for ventilation while working to keep rain out.
They’re often chosen in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, bay window arrangements, and other spaces where privacy and airflow are equally important.

French windows are full-length panels that open outward much like French doors.
Ideal in pairs. Combine them with sidelights to flood a wide opening with glass and natural light.
The Advanced Group’s specialism is uPVC frame materials, and this choice is supported by sound reasons.
Scottish weather can be wild, but uPVC takes it all! It’s durable, resists wind, rain, and the roughest of it, and you won’t get the warping or rot concerns that timber frames come with.
uPVC is low maintenance too.
Simply wipe it down with soapy water and it can look brand new.
Quite possibly most importantly, our uPVC windows provide high levels of energy efficiency. Constructed with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames achieve a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, helping to bring back energy performance across your house.
On top of all that, uPVC double glazing is also the most budget-friendly option available.
So you can often fit premium-grade glazing and still stay within budget. We supply glazed uPVC doors too, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to complement.
Scotland gives cold, wet, and windy weather for a large part of the year.
In that type of climate, the energy efficiency of your windows truly influences how much you pay on heating and how cosy your house feels on a daily basis.
The thermal performance of any window is measured by its U-value.
The lower the value, the less heat escapes through the glass and frame. Scottish building regulations currently demand a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Standard double glazed windows: 1.2 W/m2K. Premium models: as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s twice as effective as the regulatory minimum.
The difference appears on your energy bills.
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors feature argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings to push heat back into the room, all while letting natural light through.
If you’re upgrading from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you could see a really clear drop in your heating bills within even the first winter!
Heathfield has its share of double glazing firms, and most sell basic products. Few, though, come close to the calibre of the windows and doors fitted by The Advanced Group.

Triple glazing is among the most frequent topics our trusted installers receive.
With an extra pane of glass, triple glazing delivers stronger insulation and improved noise reduction.
If your property is located in an exposed area, up a hill or high above sea level, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, The Advanced Group would be more than happy to guide you through the benefits of triple glazing.
