New Windows Kittybrewster
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Maybe you’ve felt a shift in temperature around your house. Heating costs rising. Or condensation collecting on or inside your windows every morning.
Sound familiar? Your windows are telling you a message.
Older windows shed their seal over time.
The gas between the panes seeps away, the rubber gaskets go rigid and contract, and what used to block the cold out now barely holds it back.
In Kittybrewster, where the rain and wind can feel more common than sunshine, ageing windows truly affect how warm and comfortable your home feels.
No need to panic about it! The Advanced Group has been helping homeowners for over 38 years. Whether you need new windows for just one room or the whole house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll guide you to the right option and get it all fitted properly.

Certain signs are easy to spot. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t close correctly.
But then there are the quieter signs. The ones you miss until they’ve already been losing you money for months, maybe years.

If you can see moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass, this is a strong sign that the sealed unit has broken down.
Once the seal goes, the argon gas that delivers insulation escapes, and the window loses a significant chunk of its thermal performance.
Why throw money away on climbing heating costs? Bring back your home’s thermal performance with well sealed new windows today.

Put your hand near the edges of the window on a windy day. If you can feel cold air getting in, the seals have broken down.
Draught proofing strips? They’re a temporary fix. The fault only gets worse as the rubber continues to perish.

A window that catches, won’t close right, or refuses to budge is more than an irritation. It’s a security risk and an insulation issue. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms are the window’s way of telling you it’s done.
Multi-point locking systems far exceed the old single-point catches for safety. Toughened glass adds extra protection.

Windows account for a significant amount of heat loss in any home. Your window is the boundary between you and the outside elements.
If your double glazing is old, the energy ratings will almost always be significantly below what’s on offer today, even if they were a good specification when originally fitted.
High energy costs don’t have to be the default. New double glazed windows and doors work to protect your property and bring those bills down.

Every Kittybrewster house is different, and the right window style depends on the building, the room, and how you live in it.
A full lineup of windows and doors, double glazed and triple glazed, is on offer from The Advanced Group, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung styles, all provided and installed by our team.

As perhaps the most popular window type in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, offering good ventilation and simple cleaning from inside.
Casement windows fit with most property styles. Modern builds, traditional properties, the lot in between. On offer in a wide selection of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that give the look of timber without the maintenance or warping fear.
The sliding sash windows we supply recreate the style of original wooden sash frames, while delivering modern thermal performance and protection.
Every proportion, sight line, and opening mechanism mirrors the traditional look. Whether your property is in a conservation area or you simply want to hold onto its charm, these windows deliver.

Tilt them inward at the top for secure ventilation. Turn them completely inward on a side hinge for simple cleaning. Two modes, one window.
Popular in upper-floor flats. Cleaning the outside from a ladder? Not feasible.
The tilt mode lets air in without the security concerns of having the window fully open, which is especially valuable if you’ve got young children.

Top hung windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom, making them a sensible choice for ventilation while working to keep rain out.
You’ll see top hung windows in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window arrangements, essentially anywhere that privacy and airflow are both needed.

Full-length windows that open outward like French doors. That’s what French windows offer.
Paired together, they work brilliantly and can be combined with sidelights to fill a wide opening with glass and natural light.

The Advanced Group focuses in uPVC frame materials for strong reasons.
Scottish weather can be rough, but uPVC handles it all! It’s hardwearing, stands up to wind, rain, and the harshest of it, and you won’t get the warping or rot issues that timber frames bring.
uPVC is low maintenance too.
Just a simple wipe with soapy water and it can look brand new!
The real advantage? Energy efficiency. Our uPVC windows feature multi-chambered uPVC, and some frames reach a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That restores real energy efficiency to your home.
And best of all? uPVC double glazing is also the most cost-effective option.
This means you can often choose premium-grade glazing without blowing the budget. We also offer glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to complement.
Let’s be straight, Scotland is cold, wet, and windy for a large chunk of the year!
In that weather, the energy rating of your windows makes a real difference to how much you pay on heating and how cosy your house feels every day.
Thermal performance is measured by U-value.
The lower that number goes, the less heat escapes. Scottish building regulations require the maximum at 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows currently.
Our standard double glazed windows reach 1.2 W/m2K, and our premium products can reach values as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s superior double glazing and triple glazing that works twice as well as the regulatory minimum.
The proof? It appears on your energy statements.
Argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings do the heavy lifting in A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors. Heat gets bounced back in. Light still flows through.
If you are replacing from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you could see a significant drop in your heating spend within the first winter.
Many double glazing companies in Kittybrewster provide basic products, but few can compete with the standard of the windows and doors we install.
We get asked about triple glazing a lot.
Triple glazing has an extra pane of glass, helping it to offer better insulation and better noise levels.
If your property is in an exposed position, at a raised altitude, facing north, or near a busy road or flight path, The Advanced Group would be more than pleased to walk you through the benefits of triple glazing.

New windows are an investment, and we appreciate that paying for them all at once isn’t always feasible.
That’s why we offer 0% APR and up to 4 years of interest free credit, making the whole thing much less stressful!
This helps you to obtain the windows you deserve while spreading the cost of your new windows and doors in a way that works for your budget.
