New Windows Lochee
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

If you’ve noticed a temperature shift in your house, or spotted your energy bills rising, or condensation forming on or inside your windows in the morning, it’s worth taking notice.
If that sounds like your home, your windows are sending you a sign.
Over time, older windows start to lose their seal.
Gas seeps out from between the panes. The rubber gaskets go rigid and pull away. What used to stop the cold now barely registers.
In a city like Lochee, where rain and wind are often more regular than sunshine, worn windows have a real effect on how warm and comfortable your home feels.
But not to worry, The Advanced Group is here to help with over 38 years of trusted expertise. Whether you want new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we can help you find the right fit and get everything installed correctly.

Cracked glass? Rotten timber frames? Handles that don’t fasten properly? Some signs are pretty obvious.
But other signs are harder to spot, and by the time you spot them, they’ve already been losing you money for months or even years.

Can you see moisture or fogging sitting between the two sheets of glass? That tells you the sealed unit has given way.
Once that seal fails, the argon gas that gives insulation leaks out, and your window loses a big chunk of its thermal effectiveness.
Don’t keep throwing money away on climbing heating bills. Bring back your home’s thermal efficiency with properly sealed new windows.

On a windy day, put your hand near the edges of the window. If you can feel cold air getting through, this suggests the seals have worn away.
Draught proofing strips offer you time, but they’re a sticking plaster at best. The rubber continues to perishing, and the issue only gets worse.

Got windows that stick, won’t fasten right, or just refuse to budge? That’s a security risk and an insulation concern rolled into one. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms all show you the window has hit the end of its working life.
Modern windows come with multi-point locking systems that are significantly more safe than the single-point catches on older frames. Options like toughened glass provide extra security too.

Windows let out a significant proportion of your home’s heat. They’re the barrier between you and the outside elements.
Older double glazing is a thing of the past, and the energy ratings will be well below what’s out there now, even if they were a good specification when they were first put in.
New double glazed windows and doors will shield your home from high energy costs.

Every home in Lochee is different. The right window choice depends on the house, the room, and how you occupy it.
The Advanced Group supplies and fits a full selection of windows and doors in both double glazed and triple glazed setups, including uPVC triple and double and triple glazed casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung types.

Casement windows are likely the most common window type in the UK. They’re side-hinged and open outwards, making them ideal for ventilation and easy to clean from inside.
Suitable for most property types, from modern houses to traditional villas, casement windows are offered in a wide range of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that mimic the appearance of timber without the maintenance or risk of warping.

Our sliding sash windows mirror original wooden sash frames. Modern thermal efficiency and safety are included as standard.
Every proportion, sight line, and opening mechanism follows the traditional style. Whether your property sits in a conservation area or you simply want to hold onto its character, these windows do the job.

These windows tilt inward at the top for safe ventilation and turn completely inward on a side hinge for simple cleaning.
Common in upper-floor flats. Cleaning the outside from a ladder? Not an option.
The tilt function is a real plus! You get airflow without the security concerns of a fully open window, which is particularly great if you’ve got young children at home.
Top hung windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom, providing a sensible choice for ventilation that also helps to keep rain out.
They are often chosen in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, bay window arrangements, and other spaces where privacy and airflow are both needed.

French windows are full-length windows that open outward much like French doors.
In pairs, they perform stunning, and you can match them with sidelights to open up a wide opening with glass and lots of natural light.

The Advanced Group specialises in uPVC frame materials for strong reasons.
Scottish weather can be harsh, but uPVC handles it all! It’s hardwearing, resists wind, rain, and the harshest of it, and you won’t get the warping or rot concerns that timber frames suffer from.
Not only that, but uPVC is low maintenance.
Soapy water and a cloth. That’s all it needs to get uPVC looking good as new.
But more importantly, our uPVC windows are very energy efficient. Engineered with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames can achieve a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, working to recover energy efficiency to your home.
The icing on the cake? uPVC double glazing is the most cost-effective option going.
So you can often fit higher-specification glazing and still stay within budget. We also stock glazed uPVC doors too, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to coordinate.
Cold, wet, and windy. That’s Scotland for a good portion of the year.
With that climate, your windows’ energy performance really impacts your heating spend and how warm your home feels daily.
A window’s thermal efficiency is measured by something called its U-value.
The lower the figure, the less heat is lost through the glass and frame. Scottish building regulations currently set a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows attain a U-value of 1.2 W/m2K, while our premium options can reach values as low as 0.8 W/m2K, operating at twice the level of the regulatory minimum.
That performance gain is clearly visible on your energy bills.
A-rated windows and doors. Argon gas filled sealed units. Low-E glass coatings. Heat bounced back in, light still getting through.
If you’re swapping out old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing, you could see a real drop in your heating costs within the first winter.
Lochee has its share of double glazing companies, and most sell standard products. Few, though, match the standard of the windows and doors supplied by The Advanced Group.

Triple glazing is one of the most regular questions our trusted installers receive.
Triple glazing packs in an extra pane of glass, which delivers better insulation and significantly improved noise dampening.
If your property is in an exposed location, at a raised altitude, facing north, or close to a busy road or flight path, The Advanced Group would be more than happy to guide you through the benefits of triple glazing.
