New Windows Lochore
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

If you’ve spotted a temperature drop in your home, or spotted your energy bills climbing, or condensation appearing on or inside your windows in the morning, it’s worth taking notice.
If any of that feels familiar, your windows are telling you something.
The seal on older windows breaks down over time.
The gas between the panes seeps away, the rubber gaskets stiffen and shrink, and what once did hold the cold out now barely slows it down.
Living in Lochore, you get that rain and wind sometimes outnumber the sunny days, and worn-out windows make a noticeable difference to how warm and snug your house feels.
But don’t worry, The Advanced Group is here to help with more than 38 years of trusted know-how. Whether it’s new windows for a single room or a complete house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll find you the right fit and have everything installed correctly.

Cracked glass? Rotten timber frames? Handles that don’t lock properly? Some issues are pretty obvious.
But other signs are harder to spot, and by the time you spot them, they’ve already been losing you money for months or even years.

Moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass is a classic sign. The sealed unit has failed.
The seal breaks, and with it leaks the argon gas that provided the insulation. The window loses a major portion of its thermal efficiency.
Stop wasting money away on increasing heating prices. Recover your home’s thermal performance with perfectly sealed new windows.

Put your hand near the window edges on a windy day. Cold air getting through? The seals have gone.
Draught proofing strips may help in the short term, but they’re only a sticking plaster on a issue that’ll only worsen as the rubber keeps perishing.

Got windows that jam, won’t close properly, or just refuse to cooperate? That’s a safety risk and an insulation concern combined. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms all signal you the window has hit the end of its working life.
Modern windows come with multi-point locking systems that are way ahead of the single-point catches on older windows. Throw in toughened glass, and you’ve got seriously improved security.

A large amount of heat loss in any house comes from the windows. They represent the barrier between your internal space and the outside elements.
Old double glazing can’t keep up. The energy ratings are significantly below what’s available today, even if the original specification was decent at the time.
Want to guard your home from those high energy bills? New double glazed windows and doors are the way forward.

The right window style for your Lochore house will depend on the house itself, the room in question, and how you live in it.
The Advanced Group delivers a full range of windows and doors in both double glazed and triple glazed specifications, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs.

Quite likely the most common window choice in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, which makes them practical for ventilation and straightforward to clean from inside.
They suit most types of property, from modern houses to traditional villas, and come in a wide selection of colours and finishes. Woodgrain effects mimic the look of timber without the maintenance or fear of warping.

Like the style of original wooden sash frames? Our sliding sash windows recreate that traditional look while delivering modern thermal performance and safety.
Proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism all match the traditional design. Perfect for conservation areas or preserving your property’s personality.

These windows give two options: tilting inward at the top for secure ventilation, and turning completely inward on a side hinge for easy cleaning.
Popular in upper-floor flats. Cleaning the outside from a ladder? Not practical.
The tilt feature offers you airflow without the safety worries of a fully open window, which is particularly valuable for families with young children.
Top hung windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom. This makes them a smart choice for ventilation while helping to hold rain from getting in.
You’ll spot top hung windows in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window configurations, essentially anywhere that privacy and airflow are both important.

Think of them as full-length windows that open outward, much like French doors. That’s French windows for you.
Ideal in pairs. Combine them with sidelights to open up a wide opening with glass and natural light.

The Advanced Group focuses in uPVC frame materials for good reasons.
Scottish weather is tough, and uPVC is designed to be long-lasting and resilient to wild, windy, and wet weather. Unlike timber frames, uPVC won’t have the same warping or rot problems.
And there’s one more plus: uPVC is seriously low maintenance!
Soapy water and a cloth. That’s all it needs to keep uPVC looking fresh.
Here’s the truly big part: our uPVC windows are highly energy effective! Designed with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames reach a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, which seriously helps bring back your home’s energy performance.
The best part? uPVC double glazing is the most affordable option available.
Premium-grade glazing without breaking the budget? That’s what uPVC offers. We also supply glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to complement.
Let’s be straight, Scotland is cold, wet, and windy for a good chunk of the year!
With a climate like that, the energy rating of your windows makes a genuine difference to what you pay on heating and how comfortable your home feels from day to day!
A window’s thermal efficiency is measured by what’s known as its U-value.
The lower that figure goes, the less heat is lost. Scottish building regulations set the maximum at 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows at present.
Standard double glazed windows: 1.2 W/m2K. Premium options: as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s twice as effective as the regulatory minimum.
The difference is reflected on your energy bills.
Argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings perform the heavy lifting in A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors. Heat gets pushed back in. Light still gets through.
Old single-glazed sash windows or 1990s double glazing? Switch them, and you could see a clear drop in heating bills before the first winter is out.
Many double glazing firms in Lochore sell basic products, but few can rival the calibre of the windows and doors we provide.

Our trusted installers are regularly asked about our triple glazing options.
An extra pane of glass. Stronger insulation. Better noise dampening. That’s triple glazing.
If your property is positioned in an exposed area, up a hill or high above sea level, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, The Advanced Group would be more than happy to guide you through the advantages of triple glazing.
