New Windows Lockerbie
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Maybe you’ve picked up on a change in temperature inside your house. Bills rising. Or condensation building up on or inside your windows every morning.
If that sounds familiar, your windows are sending you a message.
Older windows shed their seal over time.
Gas seeps out from between the panes. The rubber gaskets go rigid and pull away. What used to hold back the cold now barely slows it down.
In a place like Lockerbie, where rain and wind can often feel more regular than the sun, tired windows make a noticeable difference to how warm and comfortable your home feels.
Not to worry. The Advanced Group brings over 38 years of trusted service. Single room or full house, replacement windows or doors, we’ll find the right solution and fit everything right.

Some problems are easy to spot. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t lock as they should.
Other signs are trickier to notice. By the time you realise, they’ve been costing you money for months or years.

Moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass? The sealed unit has failed.
Once the seal goes, the argon gas that provides insulation leaks out, and the window loses a significant amount of its thermal performance.
Quit pouring money away on climbing heating bills. Recover your home’s thermal performance with perfectly sealed new windows.

Place your hand near the window edges on a windy day. Cold air getting through? The seals have worn away.
Draught proofing strips? They’re a quick fix. The issue only worsens as the rubber continues to break down.

Windows that stick, won’t lock right, or refuse to budge are both a safety risk and an insulation concern. Warped frames, worn hinges, failed mechanisms. The window has reached the end of its functional life.
The single-point catches on older windows don’t match up with the multi-point locking systems on modern ones. Add toughened glass, and your house has a serious safety improvement.
Windows leak a considerable share of your home’s heat. They’re the boundary between you and the outside weather.
Double glazing from years ago is a thing of the past, and the energy ratings will be well below what’s available today, even if the spec was good when first fitted.
Protect your home from high energy bills with new double glazed windows and doors.

Every home in Lockerbie is different. The right window choice depends on the property, the room, and how you live in it.
A full lineup of windows and doors, double glazed and triple glazed, is on offer from The Advanced Group, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs, all provided and installed by our team.

As very likely the most common window style in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, offering effective ventilation and simple cleaning from inside.
Casement windows work with most property styles. Modern homes, traditional houses, the lot in between. Provided in a wide range of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that replicate the look of timber without the maintenance or warping risk.

Our sliding sash windows are made to replicate the appearance of original wooden sash frames, while delivering modern standards of thermal efficiency and protection.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism all match the traditional design, which matters if your property is in a conservation area or you simply want to preserve its character.

Tilt inward at the top for protected ventilation. Turn fully inward on a side hinge for easy cleaning.
Well-liked in upper-floor flats. Cleaning the outside from a ladder? Not an option.
The tilt feature allows air in without the safety risks of having the window wide open, which is especially useful if you’ve got young children.
Hinged at the top, swinging outward from the bottom. Top hung windows provide you ventilation and help hold the rain out at the same time.
You’ll find top hung windows in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window configurations, essentially anywhere that privacy and airflow are both a priority.

French windows are full-length windows that open outward like French doors.
In pairs, they look stunning, and you can combine them with sidelights to fill a wide opening with glass and lots of natural light.
There are good reasons why The Advanced Group specialises in uPVC frame materials.
Scottish weather can be brutal, but uPVC handles it all! It’s hardwearing, resists wind, rain, and the worst of it, and you won’t get the warping or rot problems that timber frames bring.
Not only that, but uPVC is low maintenance.
Simply wipe it down with soapy water and it can look as good as new.
The real benefit? Energy performance. Our uPVC windows are built with multi-chambered uPVC, and some frames hit a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That restores genuine energy efficiency to your house.
The cherry on top? uPVC double glazing is the most cost-effective option going.
Premium-grade glazing without blowing the budget? That’s what uPVC offers. We also supply glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to go with.
Scotland’s weather is cold, wet, and windy for a large portion of the year.
With weather like that, the energy efficiency of your windows makes a huge difference to what you shell out on heating and how cosy your house feels every day!
The thermal efficiency of any window is measured by its U-value.
A lower U-value means less heat getting out through the glass and frame. Scottish building regulations currently require a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows sit at 1.2 W/m2K, and the premium range can reach as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s double glazing and triple glazing performing at twice the level of the regulatory minimum.
The difference is reflected on your energy bills.
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors with argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings send heat back into the room while still allowing light through.
If you are switching from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you should notice a noticeable drop in your heating costs within the first winter.
Lockerbie has its share of double glazing businesses, and most sell standard products. Few, though, come close to the standard of the windows and doors supplied by The Advanced Group.

We get asked about triple glazing a lot.
An extra pane of glass sets triple glazing apart. It means enhanced insulation and improved noise control over standard double glazing.
If your property is in an exposed position, at a greater altitude, facing north, or close to a busy road or flight path, The Advanced Group would be more than willing to walk you through the advantages of triple glazing.

New windows are an investment. Paying all at once isn’t always feasible. We understand that.
So we offer 0% APR and up to 4 years of interest free credit. Simple.
This helps you to get the windows you want while spreading the cost of your new windows and doors in a way that works for your budget.
