New Windows Maddiston
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

You’ve noticed the temperature shifting in your home. Energy bills are rising. Condensation sits on or inside your windows every morning.
If that sounds familiar, your windows are telling you a signal.
As windows wear, they start to lose their seal.
That gas between the panes? It leaks out. The rubber gaskets stiffen and contract. And what used to keep the cold out hardly slows it down.
Living in Maddiston, you understand that rain and wind often outnumber the sunny days, and tired windows make a noticeable difference to how warm and comfortable your home feels.
Over 38 years in the business, and The Advanced Group is still here, available to support you. Whether it’s one room or the full house that needs new windows and doors, we’ll find the right solution and have everything fitted just right.

The easy ones jump out. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that won’t fasten the way they should.
Other issues, however, are harder to spot, and by the time you realise, they might have been losing you money for months or even years.

Moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass? The sealed unit has gone.
Once that seal fails, the argon gas that provides insulation escapes out, and your window loses a significant portion of its thermal effectiveness.
Increasing heating bills don’t have to keep eating into your pocket. Well sealed new windows will bring back your home’s thermal performance and start to pull those costs back down.

Place your hand near the edges of the window on a windy day. If you can feel cold air getting in, the seals have worn.
Draught proofing strips give a temporary solution, but they’re just a sticking plaster on a issue that will only worsen as the rubber goes on to break down.

Windows that jam, seize, or won’t lock correctly are a safety risk as well as an insulation problem. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms all indicate the window has hit the end of its functional life.
The single-point catches on older windows can’t compare with the multi-point locking systems on modern windows. Add toughened glass, and your home gets a proper security improvement.
Did you know that windows account for a considerable amount of heat loss in any property? They’re the bridge between your home and the outside elements.
Double glazing from the past is exactly that, in the past. The energy ratings land well below modern offerings, even if the original specification was reasonable when first installed.
High energy costs don’t have to be the norm. New double glazed windows and doors help shield your house and pull those bills down.

No two Maddiston homes are the same, and the ideal window choice depends on the property, the room, and how you live in it.
The Advanced Group stocks and fits a full selection of windows and doors in double glazed and triple glazed configurations, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung designs.

Casement windows are quite possibly the most common window type in the UK. They’re side-hinged and open outwards, making them ideal for ventilation and straightforward to clean from inside.
Suitable for most property styles, from modern homes to traditional properties, casement windows come in a wide choice of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that recreate the appearance of timber without the maintenance or fear of warping.

Our sliding sash windows replicate original wooden sash frames. Modern thermal efficiency and security are included as standard.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism all match the traditional style, which is brilliant if your property’s in a conservation area or you just want to maintain its charm.

Tilt and turn windows are really handy! They tilt inward at the top for protected ventilation and swing completely inward on a side hinge for easy cleaning.
Upper-floor flat? Cleaning outside glass from a ladder isn’t practical. Tilt and turn windows sort that issue completely.
The tilt function delivers airflow without safety concerns. Especially useful for families with young children.
Hinged at the top, swinging outward from the bottom. Top hung windows give you ventilation and help hold the rain out at the very same time.
They are frequently installed in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, bay window setups, and other spaces where privacy and airflow are both needed.

French windows are full-length windows that open outward like French doors.
Paired together, they look wonderfully and can be matched with sidelights to fill a wide opening with glass and natural light.
The Advanced Group focuses in uPVC frame materials for good reasons.
Scottish weather throws all sorts at your windows. uPVC is designed to handle it, tough, resistant to wild, windy, wet conditions, and free from the warping or rot worries that affect timber frames.
In addition, uPVC delivers the advantage of being low maintenance.
Simply wipe it down with soapy water and it can look brand new.
More significantly however, our uPVC windows are seriously energy effective. With multi-chambered uPVC design, some of our frames can reach a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, working to bring back your home’s energy efficiency.
And you want to hear the best news? uPVC double glazing is also the most budget-friendly option going!
That lets you can often step up to higher-specification glazing without breaking the budget! We also supply glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to coordinate.
Scotland is cold, wet, and windy for a large chunk of the year.
With a climate like that, the energy rating of your windows makes a genuine difference to what you spend on heating and how cosy your home feels day to day!
Thermal efficiency is measured by U-value.
The lower the figure, the less heat gets out through the glass and frame. Scottish building regulations currently require a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows sit at 1.2 W/m2K, and the premium models can get down to as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s double glazing and triple glazing working at twice the level of the regulatory minimum.
The proof? It lands on your energy costs.
Argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings perform the hard work in A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors. Heat gets bounced back in. Light still flows through.
If you’re coming from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you could see a properly noticeable drop in your heating spend within just the first winter!
Maddiston has plenty of double glazing firms. Few come close to the standard of our windows and doors.

We get asked about triple glazing all the time.
Triple glazing includes an extra pane of glass, which provides better insulation and significantly better noise dampening.
If your home is in an exposed location, up a hill, facing north, or near a busy road or flight path, The Advanced Group is more than pleased to walk you through the advantages of triple glazing.

New windows are an big spend, and we appreciate that paying for them all at once isn’t always practical.
So we provide 0% APR and up to 4 years of interest free credit. No fuss.
This helps you to get the windows you want while spreading the cost of your new windows and doors in a way that works for your circumstances.
