New Windows Strathaven
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

You’ve spotted the temperature shifting in your home. Energy bills are rising. Condensation sits on or inside your windows every morning.
If that sounds familiar, your windows are sending you something.
Old windows shed their seal as the years pass.
The gas between the panes leaks out, the rubber gaskets stiffen and pull back, and what used to blocked the cold now barely makes a difference.
In a city like Strathaven, where rain and wind are frequently more common than sunshine, ageing windows have a real effect on how warm and pleasant your home feels.
The Advanced Group is here to help, backed by over 38 years of trusted expertise. Whether you need new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll help you find the right solution and ensure everything is fitted the right way.

Cracked glass? Rotten timber frames? Handles that don’t close right? Some problems are easy to spot.
Other signs are less easy to spot. By the time you do, they’ve been costing you money for months or years.

Can you see moisture or fogging trapped between the two sheets of glass? That means the sealed unit has given way.
Once the seal breaks, the argon gas that delivers insulation seeps away, and the window loses a large chunk of its thermal performance.
Quit pouring money away on climbing heating prices. Restore your home’s thermal performance with well sealed new windows.

A windy day tells you all you need to know. Place your hand near the edges of the window. Cold air getting through means the seals have gone.
Draught proofing strips offer a brief solution, but they’re just a sticking plaster on a problem that will only get worse as the rubber goes on to perish.

Got windows that stick, won’t close right, or just refuse to play along? That’s a security risk and an insulation issue rolled into one. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms all signal you the window has reached the end of its useful life.
The single-point catches on older windows don’t compete with the multi-point locking systems on modern windows. Add toughened glass, and your home gets a serious safety upgrade.
Windows leak a considerable amount of your home’s heat. They’re the bridge between you and the outside world.
Old double glazing doesn’t compete. The energy ratings are far below what’s available now, even if the original specification was decent when first fitted.
Guard your home from high energy bills with new double glazed windows and doors.

Every Strathaven property has its own personality. The right window style comes down to the property, the room, and how you use it.
The Advanced Group provides and installs a wide choice of windows and doors in double glazed and triple glazed configurations, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung types.

As perhaps the most widely chosen window type in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, providing effective ventilation and easy cleaning from inside.
Suitable for most property styles, from modern builds to traditional properties, casement windows are available in a wide range of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that replicate the look of timber without the maintenance or fear of warping.

Our sliding sash windows mirror the look of original wooden sash frames while providing modern thermal performance and protection.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism all match the traditional design, which matters if your property is in a conservation area or you simply want to preserve its charm.

Tilt and turn windows tilt inward at the top for secure ventilation, and turn fully inward on a side hinge for easy cleaning.
Common in upper-floor flats. Cleaning the outside from a ladder? Not feasible.
The tilt feature provides airflow without the safety concerns associated with a fully open window, which is especially useful for families with young children.
Top hung windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom, providing a sensible option for ventilation that also helps to keep rain out.
You’ll find top hung windows in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window configurations, basically anywhere that privacy and airflow are both important.

French windows are full-length windows that open outward, functioning much like French doors.
Paired together, they work beautifully and can be matched with sidelights to fill a wide opening with glass and natural light.
We specialise in uPVC frame materials. And for sound reason.
Scottish weather is unforgiving. uPVC is made to handle it. Long-lasting, resilient to wild, windy, wet weather. No warping or rot concerns like timber.
And there’s one more plus: uPVC is seriously low maintenance!
Simply wipe it down with soapy water and it can look as good as new.
Here’s the really exciting part: our uPVC windows are highly energy efficient! Designed with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames reach a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, which genuinely helps restore your home’s energy performance.
The cherry on top? uPVC double glazing is the most affordable option out there.
So you can often fit higher-specification glazing and still keep within budget. We supply glazed uPVC doors too, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to complement.
Cold, wet, and windy. That’s Scotland for a fair chunk of the year.
In such a climate, the energy performance of your windows has a measurable influence on your heating spend and the overall comfort of your home on a daily basis.
U-value. That’s the number that shows you how thermally efficient a window really is.
A lower U-value indicates less heat escaping through the glass and frame. Scottish building regulations currently stipulate a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows come in at 1.2 W/m2K. The premium models? As low as 0.8 W/m2K. Twice as good as the regulatory minimum, comfortably.
The difference shows on your energy statements.
A-rated windows and doors. Argon gas filled sealed units. Low-E glass coatings. Heat reflected back in, light still coming through.
Switching from old single-glazed sash windows or 1990s double glazing? You’ll likely notice a clear drop in heating spend within the first winter.
There are loads of double glazing businesses in Strathaven selling entry-level products, but not many can rival the standard of what we supply.

Our trusted installers often get asked about our triple glazing range.
The additional pane of glass in triple glazing allows it to provide superior insulation and greater noise dampening.
If your property is situated in an exposed area, up a hill or high above sea level, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, The Advanced Group would be more than glad to guide you through the benefits of triple glazing.
