New Windows Whitefield
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

If you’ve picked up on a temperature change in your house, or seen your heating costs rising, or condensation gathering on or inside your windows in the morning, it’s worth taking notice.
If that describes your situation, your windows are sending you a sign.
Older windows lose their seal over time.
The gas between the panes steadily seeps out, the rubber gaskets harden and shrink, and what used to kept the cold out now scarcely holds it back.
Whitefield’s rain and wind can seem more frequent than the sun. Ageing windows make a noticeable difference to how warm and comfortable your home feels.
No need to panic about it! The Advanced Group has been doing this for over 38 years. Whether you are after new windows for just one room or a full set of replacement windows and doors, we’ll help you find the right choice and get it all installed properly.

Some issues are obvious. Cracked glass. Rotten timber frames. Handles that don’t fasten correctly.
But other signs are harder to spot, and by the time you spot them, they’ve already been costing you money for months or even years.

If you can see moisture or fogging between the two panes of glass, this is a sure sign that the sealed unit has broken down.
The seal gives way, and with it escapes the argon gas that kept the insulation. The window loses a major chunk of its thermal performance.
Don’t keep pouring money away on rising heating bills. Recover your home’s thermal efficiency with perfectly sealed new windows.

Try a quick test: place your hand near the edges of the window on a windy day. If cold air is getting through, the seals have worn out.
Sure, draught proofing strips can help for a short time, but they’re really a sticking plaster. The fault only worsens as the rubber keeps perishing.

Jamming windows that won’t close properly aren’t just annoying, they’re a safety risk and an insulation problem too. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms all suggest a window that’s reached the end of its working life.
Modern windows come with multi-point locking systems that are miles ahead of the single-point catches on older windows. Add toughened glass, and you’ve got properly improved security.

Windows lose a significant share of your home’s heat. They’re the barrier between you and the outside world.
Double glazing from years ago is a thing of the past, and the energy ratings will be far below what’s on offer today, even if the spec was good when first installed.
New double glazed windows and doors will guard your property from high energy bills.

Whitefield homes vary across all shapes and sizes, and the right window style depends on your property, the room, and how you occupy it.
The Advanced Group offers and fits a full range of windows and doors in both double glazed and triple glazed configurations, including uPVC triple and double and triple glazed casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung types.

The casement window takes the spot of the UK’s most common type. Side-hinged and opening outwards, they’re ideal for ventilation and a doddle to clean from inside.
Modern house or traditional house, casement windows suit the lot. A wide choice of colours and finishes is available, and the woodgrain effects capture the look of timber without any of the maintenance or warping risk.
Our sliding sash windows are crafted to mirror the style of original wooden sash frames, while offering modern levels of thermal efficiency and protection.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism are all made to mirror the traditional style, which is especially important if your property is in a conservation area or you wish to preserve its character.

Tilt inward at the top for secure ventilation. Turn completely inward on a side hinge for quick cleaning.
If you live in an upper-floor flat, these are a great option because cleaning the outside of the glass from a ladder just isn’t practical.
Airflow without the safety worry of a fully open window. That’s what the tilt mode gives, and it’s particularly handy for families with young children.

Top hung windows hinge at the top and open outward from the bottom. This makes them a practical choice for ventilation while helping to keep rain out.
Bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, bay window configurations, anywhere privacy and airflow both matter. That’s where top hung windows really shine.

French windows look just like French doors but are full-length windows that open outward.
Great in pairs. Combine them with sidelights to fill a wide opening with glass and natural light.

The Advanced Group concentrates in uPVC frame materials for strong reasons.
Scotland’s weather doesn’t go easy on your windows, and uPVC is designed to withstand it. It’s hardwearing, resilient to rough, windy, wet weather, and unlike timber, it won’t rot the same way.
Low maintenance is baked in as standard with uPVC.
Wipe it down with soapy water. Job done. It looks as good as new.
Here’s the really exciting part: our uPVC windows are highly energy effective! Designed with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames reach a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, which really works to bring back your home’s energy efficiency.
And the better bit? uPVC double glazing is the most budget-friendly option out there.
This allows you to often fit higher-spec glazing without exceeding your budget. We also offer glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to coordinate.
Let’s be honest, Scotland is cold, wet, and windy for a large chunk of the year!
In that type of climate, the energy rating of your windows truly impacts how much you pay on heating and how warm your home feels every day.
U-value. That’s the figure that tells you how thermally efficient a window really is.
The lower the figure, the less heat escapes through the glass and frame. Scottish building regulations currently demand a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows come in at 1.2 W/m2K. The premium models? As low as 0.8 W/m2K. Twice as efficient as the regulatory minimum, comfortably.
You’ll see the difference on your energy costs.
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors with argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings are brilliant at sending heat back into the room while still allowing lots of light through.
If you’re upgrading from old single-glazed sash windows or early double glazing from the 1990s, you could see a real drop in your heating bills within the first winter.
While many double glazing firms in Whitefield provide standard products, few can match the quality of the windows and doors we provide.
Our experienced installers welcome chatting about triple glazing, and it’s a topic that arises regularly!
Triple glazing adds an extra pane of glass, which delivers improved insulation and noticeably improved noise control.
If your property is perched in an exposed location, up a hill, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, reach out! The Advanced Group would be more than pleased to walk you through the advantages of triple glazing.

New windows are an significant spend. Paying for everything at once? Not always possible. We get that.
That’s exactly why we offer 0% APR and up to 4 years of interest free credit.
