New Windows Newhall
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

Noticed a temperature drop in your house? Heating bills on the rise? Or condensation forming on or inside your windows first thing?
If that sounds like your home, your windows are giving you a message.
Older windows lose their seal over time.
Between the panes, the gas leaks. The rubber gaskets go stiff and pull away. What once kept the cold out now hardly registers.
In Newhall, where the rain and wind can feel more frequent than sunshine, tired windows truly change how warm and comfortable your home feels.
No need to worry about it! The Advanced Group has been doing this for over 38 years. Whether you are after new windows for just one room or the whole house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll guide you to the right solution and get it all fitted properly.

Some faults are plain to see. Cracked glass. Rotten timber frames. Handles that don’t fasten properly.
But other symptoms are easier to miss, and by the time you spot them, they’ve probably already been costing you money for months, maybe even years.

If you notice moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass, this is a clear sign that the sealed unit has broken down.
Once the seal breaks, the argon gas that provides insulation seeps away, and the window loses a large amount of its thermal performance.
Don’t throw money away with increasing heating costs and make sure to recover your home’s thermal efficiency with properly sealed new windows.

A windy day reveals you all you need to know. Put your hand near the edges of the window. Cold air getting through tells you the seals have worn away.
Draught proofing strips may help for a while, but they’re only a sticking plaster on a issue that’ll only deteriorate as the rubber keeps perishing.

If your windows stick, won’t fasten correctly, or are tough to operate, this poses both a safety risk and an insulation issue. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms are all signals that the window has reached the end of its useful life.
The single-point catches on older windows don’t match up with the multi-point locking systems on modern windows. Factor in toughened glass, and your home has a real security boost.

Your windows are responsible for a significant share of the heat loss in your property. They’re the link between you and the weather outside.
Double glazing from years ago is old news, and the energy ratings will be significantly below what’s on offer now, even if the specification was reasonable when first fitted.
Want to shield your house from those high energy bills? New double glazed windows and doors are the answer.

Every Newhall home is different, and the right window style depends on the property, the room, and how you use it.
The Advanced Group supplies and fits a full choice of windows and doors in both double glazed and triple glazed setups, including uPVC triple and double and triple glazed casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung styles.

The casement window takes the title of the UK’s most popular type. Side-hinged and opening outwards, they’re great for ventilation and a doddle to clean from inside.
Casement windows complement most property types, from modern houses to traditional houses, and are offered in a wide selection of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that replicate the look of timber without the maintenance and fear of warping.
Our sliding sash windows are designed to mirror the look of original wooden sash frames, while delivering modern levels of thermal efficiency and protection.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism mirror the traditional look. That’s key if your property is in a conservation area or you just want to preserve its character.

These windows tilt inward at the top for safe ventilation and turn completely inward on a side hinge for effortless cleaning.
Upper-floor flat? Cleaning outside glass from a ladder isn’t an option. Tilt and turn windows solve that challenge easily.
The tilt feature provides airflow without safety worries. Particularly helpful for families with young children.

Top hung windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom. This makes them a practical choice for ventilation while helping to hold rain from getting in.
They are commonly chosen in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, bay window setups, and other spaces where privacy and airflow are both valued.

French windows are full-length windows that open outward like French doors.
Paired together, they perform beautifully and can be matched with sidelights to fill a wide opening with glass and natural light.

The Advanced Group focuses in uPVC frame materials, and for some genuinely good reasons!
Scottish weather is demanding, and uPVC is designed to be hardwearing and resistant to wild, windy, and wet weather. Unlike timber frames, uPVC won’t have the same warping or rot concerns.
In addition, uPVC provides the advantage of being low maintenance.
Simply wipe it down with soapy water and it can look good as new.
More to the point however, our uPVC windows are very energy efficient. With multi-chambered uPVC design, some of our frames can achieve a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, working to restore your home’s energy performance.
Better of all? uPVC double glazing is the most cost-effective option.
That lets you can often step up to higher-specification glazing without busting the budget! We also carry glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to complement.
Let’s be real, Scotland is cold, wet, and windy for a good chunk of the year!
That weather means the energy rating of your windows matters. It affects how much you pay on heating and how warm your house feels from one day to the next.
The thermal performance of a window is measured by its U-value.
A lower number means less heat escaping through the glass and frame. Currently, Scottish building regulations demand a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows come in at 1.2 W/m2K. The premium options? As low as 0.8 W/m2K. Twice as good as the regulatory minimum, easily.
You’ll notice the difference on your energy statements.
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors come with argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings to push heat back into the room, all while allowing natural light through.
Old single-glazed sash windows or 1990s double glazing? Replace them, and you could see a noticeable drop in heating spend before the first winter is done.
Plenty of double glazing firms in Newhall supply standard products, but not many can rival the calibre of the windows and doors we provide.
Triple glazing is one of the most common questions our trusted installers hear.
Triple glazing has an extra pane of glass, helping it to offer improved insulation and improved noise control.
If your property is situated in an exposed location, up a hill or high above sea level, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, The Advanced Group would be more than glad to guide you through the advantages of triple glazing.
