New Windows Grange
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

If you’ve picked up on a temperature drop in your home, or spotted your energy bills climbing, or condensation appearing on or inside your windows in the morning, it’s worth paying attention.
If that matches your home, your windows are sending you a clear signal.
The seal on older windows deteriorates over time.
That gas between the panes? It leaks out. The rubber gaskets go rigid and shrink. And what once kept keep the cold out no longer does the job.
Grange’s rain and wind can seem more frequent than the sun. Tired windows make a clear difference to how warm and comfortable your home feels.
The Advanced Group is here to make things easier, bringing over 38 years of trusted expertise. Whether you need new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we’ll work with you to choose the right solution and ensure everything is installed properly.

Some problems are easy to spot. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that don’t lock correctly.
Other issues, though, are less obvious, and by the time you spot, they may have been losing you money for months or even years.

Seeing moisture or fogging between your two panes of glass tells you the sealed unit has broken down.
Once that seal goes, the argon gas that provides insulation leaks out, and your window loses a significant amount of its thermal performance.
Stop wasting money away on increasing heating bills. Restore your home’s thermal efficiency with perfectly sealed new windows.

Put your hand near the edges of the window on a windy day. If you can feel cold air sneaking in, the seals have worn.
Sure, draught proofing strips can do something for a short time, but they’re just a sticking plaster. The fault only worsens as the rubber keeps perishing.

Windows that stick, won’t fasten correctly, or refuse to open are both a security risk and an insulation problem. Warped frames, worn hinges, failed mechanisms. The window has hit the end of its functional life.
Multi-point locking systems on today’s windows provide significantly stronger protection than the single-point catches used in older models, and toughened glass choices give an additional layer of protection.

Your windows are how a significant share of your home’s heat is lost. That thin barrier between you and the outside elements makes a difference more than most people think.
Older double glazing is a thing of the past, and the energy ratings will be well below what’s on offer now, even if they were a decent specification when they were first put in.
Want to shield your house from those high energy bills? New double glazed windows and doors are the answer.

Every home in Grange is different. The right window choice depends on the building, the room, and how you occupy it.
We supply and install a full selection of double glazed and triple glazed windows and doors, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung types.

Perhaps the most widely chosen window type in the UK, casement windows are side-hinged and open outwards, which makes them ideal for ventilation and easy to clean from inside.
Suitable for most property types, from modern builds to traditional villas, casement windows come in a wide selection of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that replicate the look of timber without the maintenance or fear of warping.

Want the style of original wooden sash frames? Our sliding sash windows mirror that traditional appearance while providing modern thermal performance and protection.
Proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism all follow the traditional design. Ideal for conservation areas or preserving your property’s personality.

Tilt and turn windows tilt inward at the top for secure ventilation, and turn completely inward on a side hinge for easy cleaning.
For residents in upper-floor flats, tilt and turn windows are a wise choice, as cleaning the outside of the glass from a ladder isn’t realistic.
Airflow without the safety concern of a fully open window. That’s what the tilt mode provides, and it’s especially handy for families with young children.
Hinged at the top, swinging outward from the bottom. Top hung windows offer you ventilation and work to block the rain out at the very same time.
You’ll often spot them in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, and bay window arrangements, rooms where both privacy and airflow count.

Full-length windows that open outward like French doors. That’s exactly what French windows deliver.
Perfect in pairs. Combine them with sidelights to flood a wide opening with glass and natural light.

We specialise in uPVC frame materials. And for solid reason.
Scotland’s weather doesn’t take it easy on your windows, and uPVC is made to withstand it. It’s hardwearing, resilient to wild, windy, wet weather, and unlike timber, it won’t warp the same way.
Additionally, uPVC provides the advantage of being low maintenance.
Just a quick wipe with soapy water and it can look as good as new!
Energy efficiency is where our uPVC windows really deliver. Multi-chambered uPVC design, U-values as low as 0.8 W/m2K on some frames, and a proper improvement to the energy performance of your house.
And you want to hear the best bit? uPVC double glazing is also the most cost-effective option available!
Premium-grade glazing without exceeding the budget? That’s what uPVC allows. We also supply glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to match.
For a significant part of the year, Scotland’s climate is cold, wet, and windy.
In that climate, the energy rating of your windows makes a measurable difference to how much you pay on heating and how cosy your house feels every day.
The thermal performance of any window is measured by its U-value.
Lower value, less heat getting out. Scottish building regulations currently require a maximum of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Standard double glazed windows: 1.2 W/m2K. Premium models: as low as 0.8 W/m2K. That’s twice as effective as the regulatory minimum.
The difference is reflected on your energy bills.
A-rated energy-efficient windows and doors with argon gas filled sealed units and low-E glass coatings are brilliant at bouncing heat back into the room while still allowing plenty of light through.
Old single-glazed sash windows or 1990s double glazing? Replace them, and you could see a significant drop in heating spend before the first winter is done.
Grange has a good number of double glazing companies. Few match the calibre of our windows and doors.

Our trusted installers often get asked about our triple glazing products.
Triple glazing adds an extra pane of glass, which delivers improved insulation and clearly improved noise control.
If your property is situated in an exposed location, up a hill or high above sea level, facing north, or near a busy road or under a flight path, The Advanced Group would be more than glad to guide you through the advantages of triple glazing.

New windows are an investment, and we know that paying for them all at once isn’t always possible.
