New Windows Stockethill
Quality Energy Efficient Double Glazed Windows & Doors

A shift in temperature inside the house. Climbing heating costs. Condensation sitting on or inside the windows each morning. Ring any bells?
If that sounds familiar, your windows are telling you something.
The seal on older windows deteriorates over time.
Gas leaks from between the panes. The rubber gaskets stiffen and pull away. What once did hold back the cold now barely slows it down.
In a city like Stockethill, where rain and wind are frequently more regular than sunshine, tired windows have a clear impact on how warm and pleasant your house feels.
However not to worry, The Advanced Group is here to support you with over 38 years of trusted experience. Whether you need new windows for a single room or a full house of replacement windows and doors, we can point you towards the right option and get everything fitted correctly.

The easy ones stand out. Cracked glass, rotten timber frames, handles that refuse to close the way they should.
Some signs fly under the radar however, and by the time you notice them, they’ve been silently costing you money for months or even years.

If you spot moisture or fogging between the two sheets of glass, this is a strong sign that the sealed unit has failed.
The seal breaks, and with it escapes the argon gas that delivered the insulation. The window loses a large portion of its thermal ability.
Don’t waste money away with rising heating costs and make sure to bring back your home’s thermal efficiency with properly sealed new windows.

Try a quick test: put your hand near the edges of the window on a windy day. If cold air is sneaking through, the seals have worn out.
Draught proofing strips? They’re a short-term fix. The fault only deteriorates as the rubber continues to break down.

A window that jams, won’t fasten properly, or struggles to open is more than an inconvenience. It’s a security risk and an insulation issue. Warped frames, worn hinges, and failed mechanisms are the window’s way of telling you it’s past its best.
The single-point catches on older windows don’t match up with the multi-point locking systems on modern windows. Add toughened glass, and your house gets a real security boost.

Windows let out a significant share of your home’s heat. They’re the boundary between you and the outside weather.
If your double glazing is ageing, the energy ratings will almost always be significantly below what’s achievable today, even if they were a reasonable specification when originally fitted.
Guard your home from high energy bills with new double glazed windows and doors.

Stockethill houses come in all shapes and sizes, and the right window type depends on your building, the room, and how you use it.
The Advanced Group has a wide selection of double glazed and triple glazed windows and doors in stock, including uPVC casement, sash, tilt and turn, and top hung types, all provided and installed by our team.

Casement windows are probably the most widely chosen window style in the UK. They’re side-hinged and open outwards, making them great for ventilation and simple to clean from inside.
Perfect for most property types, from modern homes to traditional houses, casement windows come in a wide selection of colours and finishes, including woodgrain effects that mimic the look of timber without the maintenance or fear of warping.
The sliding sash windows we fit mirror the appearance of original wooden sash frames, while providing modern thermal efficiency and security.
The proportions, sight lines, and opening mechanism are all crafted to mirror the traditional look, which is particularly valuable if your property is in a conservation area or you wish to keep its personality.

Tilt them inward at the top for safe ventilation. Turn them fully inward on a side hinge for quick cleaning. Two modes, one window.
They’re a common choice for upper-floor flats where cleaning the outside of the glass from a ladder isn’t feasible.
The tilt feature provides you airflow without the security worries of a fully open window, which is particularly useful for families with young children.

Top hung windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom, making them a practical choice for ventilation while helping to keep rain out.
They’re often used in bathrooms, kitchens, stairwells, bay window configurations, and other spaces where privacy and airflow are just as needed.

French windows are full-length windows that open outward like French doors.
Perfect in pairs. Combine them with sidelights to fill a wide opening with glass and natural light.

The Advanced Group focuses in uPVC frame materials, and for really good reasons!
Scottish weather is brutal. uPVC is made to handle it. Durable, tough to rough, windy, wet weather. No warping or rot worries like timber.
Better still, uPVC is incredibly low maintenance.
Just grab it a wipe with soapy water and it’ll look brand new.
But more to the point, our uPVC windows are extremely energy efficient. Built with multi-chambered uPVC, some of our frames can hit a U-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K, helping restore energy performance to your house.
The cherry on top? uPVC double glazing is the most budget-friendly option out there.
That means you can often opt for higher-spec glazing without breaking the budget. We also supply glazed uPVC doors, including uPVC doors, composite doors, and patio doors to complement.
Cold, wet, and windy. That’s Scotland for a large portion of the year.
In that sort of climate, the energy efficiency of your windows truly affects how much you pay on heating and how warm your house feels day to day.
U-value. That’s the figure that shows you how well-insulated a window really is.
A lower U-value translates to less heat getting out through the glass and frame. Scottish building regulations currently stipulate a maximum U-value of 1.6 W/m2K for replacement windows.
Our standard double glazed windows come in at 1.2 W/m2K. The premium range? As low as 0.8 W/m2K. Twice as efficient as the regulatory minimum, comfortably.
You’ll spot the difference on your energy statements.
A-rated windows and doors. Argon gas filled sealed units. Low-E glass coatings. Heat pushed back in, light still getting through.
If you’re upgrading from old single-glazed sash windows or 1990s double glazing, you could see a significant drop in your heating bills within the first winter.
There are loads of double glazing businesses in Stockethill supplying entry-level products, but not many can match the quality of what we fit.
Our experienced installers are frequently asked about our triple glazing range.
Triple glazing has an extra pane of glass, allowing it to provide enhanced insulation and reduced noise levels.
Exposed spot? Up a hill? Facing north? Near a busy road or flight path? The Advanced Group will talk you through the advantages of triple glazing.
